The beautiful 'pods', the wonderful gardens, the outstanding facilities (kitchen, lounge, reading room, washrooms etc), the terrific breakfast (mostly home-produced food) and the warmth of Mary's welcome. The location is so peaceful - deep quiet! Superb.Guest review byBrendanIreland

There was an issue with Booking.com not forwarding our prepayment to the hotel. When this was brought to the attention of reception, it was promptly investigated and resolved to my full satisfaction. Well, this is the 3rd time that i have filled this in, so either the hotel doesn't care, or they dont read the feedback. I'm not going to re write everything, but in short, we were very disappointed with the noise levels particularly on the sat night , which came form 3 sources, and didn't until after 4 amGuest review byMartinIreland - 8.0

Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow. Borris House and its surrounds give great character to the place. Plenty of scenic views in the area. The old railway viaduct trail at the bottom of the village is worth a visit.Guest review byAlanIreland - 10.0

Fantastic solar lighting on the pitches was a real bonus, the ground was really level with no stones, so sleeping was very comfortable. Very laid back and the cleanliness was a very welcome change. The campsite was absolutely stunning on the edge of the river with a brook running through the middle - my idea of heaven.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
The area is beautiful!
The area is beautiful! We did not spend much time in surrounding towns - I chose the location based on it's proximity to Kilkenny and the type of accommodation. I had hoped to stay in a castle while in Ireland but that was not possible so this manor house was a nice substitue.Guest review byChristinaUnited States - 10.0
Definately recommend and will come back.
Definately recommend and will come back. We stayed in the smaller, oldest of cabins, which was reflected in the price. If coming back we would stay in the newer bigger cabins. Perfect for families and people who love fishing. A playground would have been a big bonus but apart from that. The views and facilities are great. Cabin was immaculate and beds were extremely comfortableGuest review byNaomiIreland - 10.0
Carlow town is a hidden gem.
Carlow town is a hidden gem. Beautiful town artisan and public building architecture. Clean, bright public areas, wonderful recreational open spaces and a vibrant, pleasant night life with lovely eateries and pubs. We were on a working conference weekend and our stay was too short. We will visit again, next time for longer and for leisure to fully enjoy Carlow town and its surrounding areas.Guest review byJimIreland - 8.0

It's quite an attractive looking place, tidy garden, stone house. However when I rang around local B&B's for somewhere for myself and my family to stay a very helpful lady suggested Brandon Hill Camping, Graiguenamanagh - about 15 mins north. Ken the campsite owner could not have been more helpful and hospitable and I would highly recommend his campsite to anyone who stays in the area. The town has some lovely pubs as well, with great food and live music. To be honest the person at St Mullins did us a favour and we had a very pleasant stay at Brandon Hill😁Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom
