- From $1,174.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 284 reviewsAn absolutely fabulous jewel of a hotel! The rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable, the restaurants and other public spaces are in mint condition, and the staff are exceptionally kind and friendly. The location is superb for numerous reasons. First of all, it has direct access to the Tyrrhenian Sea where you can choose to swim from the beach or from the small dock at Marina di Praia. The hotel’s close proximity to that little harbor is also a huge advantage because you can catch water taxis and can also join tours etc to Capri etc., with great convenience. The water taxis to and from Amalfi and Positano are fast, convenient, reasonably priced and tremendous fun! Marina di Praia, is a hive of activity which is exciting to watch. It also has a couple of great little restaurants. The third advantage of this hotel’s location is how immensely relaxing it is. Unlike hotels that are in the towns, this hotel is a haven of peace. But the excitement is very close, when desired. it is a short walk to Praiano and its restaurants, and a short trip by water taxi to the bigger towns of Amalfi and Positano. The main restaurant is delicious. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all superb. You must have the deserts, which are absolutely delicious. Thank you Hotel Onda Verde, I hope to see you again soon.Guest review byStephenAustralia
- From $2,342.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 378 reviewsI love every minute of staying in this hotel. I see lots of hotel in my life and even work in 5 star properties. But this hotel is a true gem, it’s the place where you want to come again and bring all your family and friends just to share that amazing experience with the loved ones. It’s the type of hotel where people come in generations with rich history but feels very modern. Food was a true Italian masterpiece, breakfast exceptional, everything was so delicious. The beach and the way to water so cinematic. The room cleaning and amenities are on high level of standard. The people who work there are truly love this hotel and make the every way possible for you to feel welcome and happy and 0 stress. After living in a big city this hotel tells like I connecting to nature and myself again. We take a short trip to Positano 15 minutes on water taxi which is just an amazing way to see the stunning views from water. Thank you to each and everyone who make this hotel operate and be such a dream place to stay.Guest review byMariiaUkraine
- From $2,318.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.9Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 98 reviewsTime at the monastero is everything you might expect for a 5 star resort experience with some notable distinctions. Amazing attention to detail and systems of management, result in a sense of tranquility which is hugely amplified by the monastery setting. This really can't be overstated. The peaceful environment they create here is quite precious. Secondly, having a limited number guests (20), means that there is a sense of privacy missing from some resorts or hotels. Thirdly, the views are literally some of the best photos from our trip. Fourthly, the generosity and warmth of the staff in every area is 100% consistent. A great credit to management. Loved our stay. Obviously not an every holiday option, but a special stay that will be remembered for a very long time.Guest review byMatthew CostaAustralia
- From $3,780.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 130 reviewsThis hotel exceeds expectations. From the kind and informative staff to the phenomenal food and gorgeous views you cannot go wrong by booking this hotel. The actual hotel is gorgeous, the views spectacular. I was worried because I knew the hotel isn’t in Positano center, but ended up being a blessing. They will drive you to the center, the ride takes 3 minutes, when you call to have them pick you up they arrive in 5 minutes or less and the best part is you get away from the crowds of the main town to an oasis on the cliffs of the Amalfi coast. Couldn’t recommend more, felt lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here!!Guest review byBrekkeUnited States

Amalfi is a small and charming town with beautiful architecture and a lovely atmosphere. However, since it’s the central town of the entire Amalfi Coast, it tends to get very crowded — which unfortunately takes away some of its charm. That said, it’s still worth a visit, especially to admire its history and beauty. But I highly recommend exploring the nearby towns as well — like Positano, Atrani, Maiori, Minori, and others — each of them has its own unique character and is often much more peaceful and authentic.Guest review byLiza ManijaLatvia - 6.0

Picturesque town, but realize that unless staying right in town center, sooner or later you will have to face lot of steps up /downhill. Taxi drivers have colluded to charge exorbitant flat fees for even the shortest drive. The port is not protected from rough seas, so in case of stormy weather, access by sea may not be possible.Guest review byKnutCanada - 10.0
We loved where we stayed.
We loved where we stayed. Last year, we visited the Amalfi Coast which was beautiful. This year we went to Capri, which was amazing. The local shops were great and the people are very friendly and helpful. We ate locally or cooked and had a few favourite spots. It was easy to walk around where we stayed, for longer trips we had the rental car. We could ask our host for directions and tips on where to visit.Guest review byCarmelIreland - 10.0

We think Vietri is the best place to stay on the Amalfi coast. It is easy to reach (most other towns are a pain to drive to), and is a great place to explore from, with Pompeii only 25 mins drive and Herculaneum around 35 minutes, all motorway. The town itself is very authentic and prices are reasonable compared to the better known places. The boat service to other Amalfi towns is regular and easy to use without being too expensive (€25 return to Amalfi for 2 people) - we enjoyed the boat trips as much as the towns which were generally heaving with tourists, I’d hate to think what high season is likeGuest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Amazing city with very nice restaurants and great ferry connection. It was a very good decision for us to stay in a smaller city, because Maiori has a fantastic beach, it was not that busy, but we still had access to all the bigger cities on the coast.Guest review byBettinaNorway - 8.0

We loved our stay at the hotel however I would not recommend it for those with small children or those who have a disability because of the amount of stairs you have to climb to get into and out of the hotel itself. David, our host was excellent. He recommended places to eat and to go to. We also hired a car and was provided with private parking for an additional cost. The view from our room was also beautiful.Guest review bySarina19United Kingdom - 10.0

Praiano is a great place to be if you're ok with staying local and in a smaller town. Amazing views, not very walkable (as in there's not really a strip or a condensed area to visit, it's a little spread out).Guest review byTomy - 10.0

Minori offers fabulous beaches, views and restaurants, as well as great hikes / walks, all whilst remaining unspoilt and true to it's culture and traditions. It really feels a privelege to be able to stay there and enjoy their lifestyle and beautiful home.Guest review byDONNAAustralia - 10.0

Furore is around 15km from amalfi, sounds close but in reality due to the winding roads it takes around 25 minutes in a car/bus Furore is quite spread out so you need to take that in to account when staying there. Car/moped is the best method of transport followed by the bus, walking is an option but be prepared for many steep hills. This is a perfect base to get into amalfi, but be aware that parking in amalfi itself is challenging and the police/car towing companies are red hot!Guest review byMARKUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Peaceful and quiet—perfect for a relaxing vacation. There are plenty of good restaurants and enough markets for everyday needs. The area also offers great historical sites to explore, along with the beautiful Valle delle Ferriere nature park nearby. A convenient bus stop with frequent service makes it easy to get around the area without a car.Guest review byNemanjaSerbia
