Hotel in Amalfi
This cliff-top hotel in Amalfi is a converted 13th-century monastery. It offers free WiFi, ultra-modern rooms and an infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The place was absolutely amazing! To start with, I rarely write these kind of reviews, but the hotel was so amazing and staff so great so I feel obliged to help their business. To give you some background, what kind of travelers we are - we fly to the most exotic places on earth and live in the most exotic and expensive hotels. We get annoyed, if the bed in business on the plane is too narrow or not closed off enough from the public. Having been to a number of Four Seasons, One and Only, Ritz hotels around the world, including in the Maldives where we paid 4,000 USD a night, we have concluded that this hotel probably provided the most blissful and breathtaking experience we have ever had. First the hotel is situated perfectly, right in the center, near to all, but high up on the mountain (you need to take 3 elevators to get up). This provides proximity and stunning view (I would say unparalleled to anything we have seen before). Maybe closest one in completely panoramic views is Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, where simple sea view rooms start at 3,000+ USD per night. The real gem of the hotel is the junior suite with Jacuzzi, which has a panoramic terrace that is 7*10m. Furthermore, the hotel is located int he old 12-th century monastery and has loads of private benches patios etc, gardens. Each space is unique and can be yours for the evening (there are way more of these spaces then guests, due to unique property setting). The staff was super helpful and worked on our private DHL delivery that was delayed in a very personal way. Room service was great and every time we asked for something it took literally 60 seconds for a guy to be with glasses or ice bucked at our door. Maybe the only difference to some of the really luxury chains are the rooms. We can's lie and say they are exactly perfectly planned with a thought through decor and diligence of the Four seasons, but completely nice and this is also the Italian style. One of the best trips we been on!

Many families visiting Amalfi loved staying at Borgo Santandrea, Residenza Luce, and Hotel Santa Caterina.

For hotels in Amalfi that serve highly-rated breakfasts, try Residenza Luce, Hotel Antica Repubblica in centro storico a 100mt dal mare, and Hotel Villa Felice Relais.
These hotels in Amalfi are highly rated by couples: Residenza Luce, Borgo Santandrea, and Hotel Santa Caterina.
Borgo Santandrea, Villa Rina, and Hotel Santa Caterina got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Amalfi.
A gorgeous compact little town with great walks, food, sightseeing and views. Less busy than Positano, and possibly the prettiest town on the coast. Stairs may be a problem for some people - we liked the challenge
Although a bit expensive (accomodation, food and drinks) is very close to Positano and other beautiful places like Minori, Maiori and Ravello. Buses can be crowded to travel between cities and because of the narrow route there's traffic and it takes time to reach nearby places. The cathedral is beautiful, not to be missed. Andrea Pansa pasticceria is amazing! I would recomend to travel in the low season. There's not much going on in the nights so be aware is not so much a party destination. Just a few bars open.
Amalfi is a tourist town, but it is beautiful. There are TONS of people in the main square that get dropped off each day via ferry and bus. There are lots of ferries to get you there and to take you to other places on the Amalfi Coast. The Main Street in Amalfi city is full of tourist traps (lots of souvenir shops, overpriced restaurants, etc.). Once you get off the Main Street it is much more enjoyable. If you can deal with all the hustle and bustle and people crowded into one main area, it is worth it. The elevator up to the cemetery (and the views from there) are amazing! The walk over to Atrani (and Atrani itself) was great - very quiet and relaxing.
Beautiful and scenic and was please I finaly visited and ticked it off my bucket list. However, way too many tourists, so many people it really is suffocation and this was in April! Virtually every shop is full of the same tourists tak and it does start to feel like its far from the natural Itally but a theme town purely for the purpose of draining as much cash from tourists as possible. The crowds mean that there are queues for every transport anywhere and its almost impossible to get to some places without booking well ahead. One is reliant almost totaly on public transport because driving a car or a scooter here is really not for fainthearted.
the Amalfi coast has clearly not recovered from COVID 19. such a shame. the days of the place to go appears to be gone. there are more beautiful places in the world which have come out of COVID with success.
Amalfi makes a great base for exploring both the Amalfi Coast and entire Sorrento Peninsula. Easy ferry action to Salerno, Capri and Positano; buses to Sorrento and Ravello. And every hiker should surely do The Path of the Gods - glorious. The town itself is certainly good for a few days of sunny relaxation, good food, good swimming, etc. Side trips also to Pompei, Mt.Vesuvius and Paestum - all archeological wonders.
Amalfi
A short walk from the ferry port. Centrally located to everything. Most restaurants and souvenir shops are located on the main artery Via D’Amalfi. Walked to Atrani, the neighboring town, to explore one of the oldest and smallest town in Italy as well as to escape the crowd. SH breakfast offered more options than other hotels. Easy bus ride from Amalfi port to Bomerano for the world’s most beautiful hike Path of Gods. Explored Positano after the hike and then took a cheap ferry ride back to hotel. Very convenient!
Amalfi
Brand new hotel, really quiet with only 4 rooms, a few minutes walking from the pier and the beach (they can arrange a pick up upon your arrival if you have luggage). Quiet area, beautiful view from the terrace, everything really clean. The manager Manuel gave us a lot of information about the amalfi coast, where to eat and how to move around. He was really kind and let us leave the luggage there after check out for a few hours. Breakfast is not available, but you can make yourself coffee or tea in the room.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at in my entire life. The location is exceptional and the views are incredible. You literally feel like you are in heaven on earth. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating, the moment you arrive you feel like you are part of one big family. Mr. Gennaro Apicella in particular was very nice to us and even gave us a free upgrade. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who ever plans on visiting the Amalfi Coast; it cannot get better than this.
Breakfast was fair. Nothing great. But in the residenza sole it's all about location. In the amalfi coast you will probably have to walk thousands of stairs to go to certain airbnbs and hotels. Residenza sole isso a 5 minutes walking distance to the center of amalfi e 3 minute walking distance do the beach. It's not super confortable or beautifull but its really fair for it's price and for the time you win by being close to everything.
Amalfi
The best views of Amalfi coast from this location, lovely apartment and terrace too. In Pogerola square is where you will find everything you need including two mini markets, a ice cream and tea shop, restaurants and also a bar (Gerry’s bar) which does the most amazing pizzas. We often spent our evenings up in the square as Amalfi was very busy and at times quite expensive where Pogerola was more modest with their pricing.
A lovely Boutique Hotel with a beautiful view from the hills over the Amalficoast! Clean room with a balcony and seaview. Nice area for sunbathing with a jacuzzi, a safe parking space and good breakfast with delicious cappuccino. And last but not least very friendly staff with the boss Christiana who was always helpful and open to everything we needed. we would love to come back! BR from Julia and Florian
Property is charming and away from the crowds of Amalfi. Definitely worth getting a room with balcony. Breakfast was excellent. Dino provided many helpful recommendations and reservations that improved our stay a lot. It was fun to be his guest and he works hard to make each guests stay perfect. Feels like you have a shared home on the coast. Easy parking a big plus if you have a car.
The location is great and really gives you the ultimate Amalfi coast experience with the view from the balconys and the terrace. Clean and well equipped flat. Paola gave us valuable information on sights and where to shop and eat. Suggest you have porters to bring your heavier bags to the flats which Paola can arrange. All in all well worth the 250 steps.
Amalfi
Relaxing location for an active exploration of the Amalfi coast, we loved every minute of our stay. Friendly hosts that live close by but know how to ensure great privacy. Very comfortable and spatious apartment with a wonderful view from the front balcony. Fully equipped kitchen and easy parking situation. Dog friendly. Would definitely stay here again!
We liked the location very close to the center of Amalfi, the breakfast terrace with an amazing view to the sea, also the breakfast which was various. The staff was helpful regarding some infos about our staying in Amalfi coast. Super hotel!!

Amalfi
a perfect , comfortable stay with a beautiful view of the Amalfi coast . so many amazing places to eat and shop all within close walking distance , a close walk to beaches as well. we will 100% be back to stay here again !!!
very central location which was perfect. staff did a great job. the price was totally worth it. it’s not a luxury 5 star hotel. Its a modest hotel but totally worth staying, especially with a view
Amalfi
The apartment was the perfect cozy apartment 1.5 bath, a kitchen and fridge, access to a patio looking out on the amalfi coast. The host was absolutely wonderful and tended to our needs expertly.
We found the staff to be lovely, friendly and very helpful! Extremely hospitable place. The lemon grove and garden were exceptionally beautiful. A really special hotel in a beautiful coastline.
