Villa Rina, Hotel Santa Caterina, and Hotel Residence got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Amalfi.
We traveled to Italy to visit Pompeii. Since we were staying in the area a few days, we decided to visit Amalfi and see the Amalfi Coast. We did have a car, but decided the drive along the coast in summer would be stressful, so took a ferry from Salerno. Great idea! Good prices, lots of travel time options, and a lovely, stress-free cruise along the Amalfi Coast. We spent a few hours in Amalfi and it was interesting to see the town, the cathedral and have lunch in one of the outdoor restaurants. But - it was packed with tourists everywhere and lots of shops & restaurants. We prefer more peaceful, non-touristy places so did not wish to linger longer. But we can say we have visited Amalfi!
A lot of buzz and vibrancy, lovely selection of restaurants along with gelato/ pastries offering a great selection of Italian food to sample. Shops were good for holiday souvenirs, nicely compacted and easily accessible by walking. Plenty of choice for bus/ ferry routes to go sightseeing to Positano, Capri and Sorrento. Definitely it’s worth a visit, charming.
Good shopping, great food, nice locals and amazing natural beauty. ****Visit DONNA STELLA PIZZA**** kind staff and out of this world food (not just pizza-but the pizza is the best I’ve ever had) and Del Duca- Ask Antonio what the catch of the day is. Food is insanity good and prices are fare
We loved staying in Amalfi. It was so convenient to all cities on the Amalfi Coast. We recommend taking a ferry to Sorrento for lunch, then Positano for dinner. The next day go to Capri via ferry. Also save a day to go the beach at Conca de Marini. The restaurants there will send a boat to Amalfi and pick you up for free. You spend the day at the beach in front of the restaurant and soak in the sun, enjoy a great lunch, return to the sun for an afternoon nap or swim and then they will take you back to the Amalfi port.
Love the small town conveniently located by the seaport, which is the center of all ferries and buses. Easy bus ride from the port to Bomerano for Path of Gods hike. Took ferries from Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi to Salerno. Easy walk via a tunnel to the next town of Atrani of old world charm. Beautiful, crystal clear water to swim in. Free beach right next to private ones. Only dislike is that the center was often overcrowded, which is why we escaped to the neighboring town of Atrani to eat and explore.
As one of Amalfi cost place issue ☝️Is with parking be really patiently and calm to find NOT a easy at all recovery will be at your shoulder to lift your car, ⚠️Main problem is Petrol station like 20min away either side of the city😲, I did drive 650km and reached Amalfi with petrol just for 30km range in tank 😅and to realised NO petrol station 🤬… “ Here is the particular point of view I did drive all way to Amalfi in one go as I am usually do END to FULL, I am not person to stop and lose 10-15min every day to refill the tank and don’t like to refill 5 litres or 5€. I didn’t expect to highlight shocking news. Parking spaces is another major issue €5/h. I rest enjoy your stay as you usually do…🥳😂🤭
We stayed at the hotel for six nights, the place was just 10 minutes away (by bus) from the Amalfi town. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and comes every hour (pick up / drop off). The terrace has the most amazing view of the coast and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy,. The owner, Christiana is very helpful, nice, and offers great advice of where to go and gives great recommendations. Breakfast was great, we will definitely recommend this to our friends and if we come back, we will be sure to stay here!
Very elegant and retro style residence from 18 century… In front of the sea and close to the beach… Good customer service and very friendly stuff… The standard breakfast but very tasty in the restaurant on wonderful terrace with a Amalfi coast view…(very nice service) Rooms are comfortable enough and cleaning was made 2 times a day… The hotel is placed exactly in the centre of everything with a normal vacation noise area, fool of nice people from all around the world… I will come back!
Amazing fully equipped apartment with good size balcony and sea view. Very nice decor and extremely clean throughout. Terrific location in central Amalfi close to the main square and beaches. The host Daniela is very helpful with her local knowledge and even organised our transfer back to the airport as we had to leave early on a Sunday morning. We can't thank her enough for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended accommodation on the beautiful Amalfi coast.
Amalfi
Property is beautiful and cleaned, amazing and lovely staff. Delicious breakfast everyday served at the terrace, rooms smell really good all the time. There are steps to go to the facility, something actually normal at the Amalfi Coast, however you can make it without steps using another way to get to the hotel. Rooms have nice balconies as well. i would recommend 100% to my family and friends this property if they ever decide to go and stay in Amalfi.
Breakfast was fair. Nothing great. But in the residenza sole it's all about location. In the amalfi coast you will probably have to walk thousands of stairs to go to certain airbnbs and hotels. Residenza sole isso a 5 minutes walking distance to the center of amalfi e 3 minute walking distance do the beach. It's not super confortable or beautifull but its really fair for it's price and for the time you win by being close to everything.
Amalfi
This is really an exceptional place. The balcony towers over the coast with a view of Positano. The room is more of an apartment, with a separate kitchen and bathroom. There is a parking area which is also its entrance. There were also some animals there too and a lot of vegetables/fruits are grown there. Also the place is powered by solar for those looking for more ecological stays. We only wished we had time to have stayed longer!
Very good and pleasant hostess. she baked pastry for us every morning. very delicious!! and she offered to serve it early if we had early plans in the morning. She also helped negotiate with shuttle car company for a reasonable price and waive extra fee for waiting at the airport. Location of the property is impeccable. Easy to reach and relatively accessible compared to most place along Amalfi coast.
Amalfi
Solaria is a peace of heaven. It is run by a very friendly Italian family which will make you feel like in an exclusive boutique hotel. The location offers a magnificent view over the see and the Amalfi coast. The tasty breakfast includes quality products from the area freshly prepared in front of you.
the hotel is a dream come true! The beauty, the flora, food, tile, morning breakfast, the amazing views!! -this is truly a 5* hotel! They provide shuttle service into the town of Amalfi The chocolates at night , todo impecable ! Highly recommend rooms 83/84 suites
Amalfi
Excellent. Very comfy and spacious room with everything you need. Breakfast on the terrace was excellent. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. Many steps to get to the room...as everywhere on the amalfi coast but well worth it. The view from the room was simply stunning
The location is great, the balcony! Omg, world’s most beautiful balcony facing the sea, I slept listening the sound of the waves. It has also beautiful terrace at 4th floor. I think it’s the best 4 stars hotel in Amalfi. Staff is kind and helpful.
We liked the location very close to the center of Amalfi, the breakfast terrace with an amazing view to the sea, also the breakfast which was various. The staff was helpful regarding some infos about our staying in Amalfi coast. Super hotel!!
Amalfi
The hotel is between Positano and Amalfi. 15 minute walk to Amalfi! Great hotel and owner was very gracious and helped with us making our tour booking. Nice plunge pool and sun terrace. B&B style property. Loved our stay.
Amalfi
The best views in Amalfi! This apartment is central, a one minute from bus stop, coast and main square. We appreciated all the help Antonio gave us including recommendations. I would return to be able to sit on the balcony again!
The hotel is very clean, with a great breakfast, rooms with view from the sea, near of the downtown, and have a great beach near. A big advantage is that the hotel have parking. This in Amalfi Coast is hard to find.
Amalfi
it had amazing views without the Amalfi crowds. it was relaxing to be at the hotel but you had easy access to Amalfi and other places from the free shuttle. the shower and bathroom was nice and new.
Amalfi
The hotel was cozy, nice and clean. It is situated on a main pedestrian street, but definitely not noisy at all. And the staff - the nicest people on the Amalfi coast!
everything . New . Fresh . friendly and luxury . highly recommended if you visiting Amalfi and looking for a superior hotel ..
