Dea House Airport, a property with a garden, is located in Naples, 3.3 miles from San Gregorio Armeno. This apartment is 3.8 miles from Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory. I booked the Dea House for one night for my sister in law. Even though she doesn't speak Italian, everything was smooth at the check-in and the owner was so kind to bring her directly to the house. The house is clean and welcoming, everything was perfect. Moreover, it was very much appreciated that the owner offered to drive my sister in law directly to the train station in Naples after check-out in the morning, even if it was quite early. In conclusion I strongly recommend to book a stay here if you have an early flight or if you arrive late in the night.

Really close to the airport, saving taxi or shuttle fares. A 6 minute easy walk. Not that easy to find the first time, but above our expectations when we did find it! Spacious rooms, very clean and fresh. The breakfast choices were extensive and pasta, eggs, cheese and bread left for us was much appreciated.... Very good value for this close to the airport.

The Holiday Inn Naples is a 4-star hotel located in the Centro Direzionale, the city's business area. A free scheduled shuttle from/to Piazza Garibaldi Train Station is available. Everything was very comfortable
Naples is not a typical Italian destination. Spend your time on one of the islands in the bay. Cab drivers are lying crooks, it’s filthy, the restaurants add all kinds of fees and charges to your check, many areas are unsafe and I felt uncomfortable walking the streets particularly at night.
I loved Naples because we were there long enough to properly see how wonderful the city is. Like all cities there are dodgy areas so don’t be put off by negative reviews. The tourist train CV is probably the worst train I’ve ever been on - find out when is less busy time to travel on it, this is where we experienced pick pockets at work while people were squashed together. It would be a good idea to have some police patrolling this train. The city is gorgeous - do a tour really get to see it! People can seem initially a little abrasive but they reminded me of Glaswegians/ New Yorkers ( I mean this in a good way) once you tune in they are delightful and straight forward.
Arrived via train from Venice - train station in bad part of town - drunks, witnessed drug dealing walking across town sqare to hotel - did not feel safe - drove out of town next day. Returned a week later one day early - booked a supposed 3/4 Star rated hotel by Airport - Millenium Gold - barely a 1-Star. Flew out next day but checked out of Motel early (if you’ve been to any “older” Towns in Mexico or Peru, the area is similar - uneven broken sidwalks, take your life in your hands crossing road) Perferred to hang out for four hours carrying luggage in airport before departure than at motel. As i had been travelling for three weeks in three countries and had stayed in ok to very nice hotels, this was a major disappointment. Suffice it to say, i was ready to go. Didnt get a chance to tour the actual city of Naples.
The city is very big and difficult to find your way around if not familiar. I took the train in but I did not know which station to get off at since Naples has many which I did not know. I ended up way on the other side of town from where I needed to be and but for the grace of God and helpful strangers I was able to get a cab to the hotel and all was good.
The Spanish quarter has so much character and is a central location. It is easy to navigate the city by walking or using the metro. Great food and drink. The locals are very friendly. Try the little restaurants in the Spanish quarter all have incredible food and wine.
