Located next to the Pompei Santuario Station, Hotel Palma is just a short stroll away from Pompeii’s ancient ruins. Enjoy views of Mount Vesuvius from its panoramic terrace. The best thing about this hotel is its location, you can walk everywhere from there. There are great restaurants and shopping streets very close, also it’s so close to the beautiful cathedral. Their beds are very comfortable, this is something I got to mention since we have stayed at very beautiful places with very uncomfortable beds. Palma hotel has a different type of breakfast, full of pastries, but hey! While in vacation, enjoy those carbs!!!! Catello helped us with finding the ride to the airport and other little details that made our stay one to remember.

Just 5 minutes from the archaeological site, this hotel takes its name from the ruins of an ancient Pompeian villa located on the same street. Location could not be better for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The pool was an added bonus after a day sightseeing. The hotel and pool, although ageing are kept spotlessly clean. The staff were attentive and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. A great find!😊

Following a business conference in Sorrento I wanted to visit ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum. B&B PompeiiLog looked like a good value place to stay and it proved far better than I had expected. Situated a mere 3 minute walk from Villa Regina train station on main line between Sorrento & Naples it means its one stop to Pompeii ruins and four stops to Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Roberto the owner is a lovely guy who does everything to make guests welcome from making a great cappucino to breakfast to lifts to town if required. My room was spacious even for a single occupant and ideal for a couple with big bed and ensuite shower/toilet. WiFi worked a treat so I could watch movies in my room too. As weather was cold I used the heat function on the A/C unit and room warmed up fast so was very cosy and I slept well. Only downside is no local supermarket nearby as stores opposite are furniture, bedroom and DIY stores. There is a McDonalds 1 minute walk away so hot food is available albeit its fast food. I stayed 2 nights and this place was perfect as a base camp from where to explore Pompeii and Herculaneum. Then a 40 minute train ride to Naples for a day sightseeing before going to the airport and home. I will visit in Summer with my wife and will stay here again for sure.
Nothing much to see in Pompei, except the ruins. The Pompei ruins were incredible. I had no idea how complex and impressive it was going to be. Homes, shops, bakeries, restaurants, spas, paintings, mosaic floors, fountains, an arena....you can see the ruins of all of these. Get a guided tour. It's absolutely worth it. Otherwise, there are so many details that you might miss. But also make sure you have a map so you can continue to explore afterward. And also leave time for the on-site museum afterward. They have removed some artefacts from the actual site to better preserve them.
Amazing place with so much faith, a very important shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii and the ruins of Pompeii from the Volcano. Highly recommend it, great food at the little restaurant Sctuzzico By Lucius in Pompeii and great cakes at De Vivo.
History of pompai , amazing sights to see . The Villa of Mysteries at pompai is very near to the Port de Marina entrance , its a Must See !! Don't take a tour guide just get a map and info guide and that will be best . The guides rush you round and there is no time on a tour to ask questions or look longer at what you are seeing .Huerculanium is a must see , it's much smaller site and many more frescoes to see and almost complete houses and inns .. amazing !!
Pompeii is awesome, there are also some other not so well known sites which are well worth seeing, Herculaneum, Villa de Plonti which have some of the best preserved frescos to be found. There is a lot of walking involved in visiting these sites, we covered almost 50 miles in 1 week, travelling around the areas, make sure you have good walking shoes and a hat.
The accommodation is ideal for a quiet vacation and a visit to the Pompeii site, but it is also relatively close to Naples and Sorrento. You need your own transport. The price/quality ratio is fantastic, you really get great accommodation for a good price. Wonderful staff!
I stayed here on two occasions and felt well received. The room was very comfortable and quiet - I almost didn´t wake up because I had such a great quality sleep. The hotel is old but has an amazing history behind it. The breakfast was pretty good. Though I am American, I understand that every country has it´s own breakfast options - therefore, the coffee, pastries, fruit and other things laid out were just perfect. I would certainly return to stay here. It is also located right in front of some ruins and very close to Pomeii.
Excellent place to stay if you want to visit the ruins of Pompeii, which is a 20 minute walk. The room we stayed in was large and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating — we would single out Antonio, Nydia and Antonia for special mention. A lovely pool which was terrific for the hot weather. A restaurant and winery are part of the property — all fun. A 25-minute ride to Naples Capodichino Airport, so a great place to stay as a last stop before leaving Campania
What a good surprise. I'm in south Italy quite often for business and now i'll make this hotel as my preferred stop. Easy to reach by the highway, quite town, very safe and you can move to Napoli or Costiera by train. The hotel is with the higher international standard. The staff is very helpful and the know the area very well - follow their suggestions for excursion and restaurant. Cozy lobby and gardens where you can meet clients and work with your laptop.
Close to entrance to Pompei ruins- 10 mins walk maximum. Breakfast typical of Italy, great coffee, you can ask the staff and they make you cappuccino or Americano etc. 2 mins from restaurants, pizza restaurants etc. Great base to explore. We were here 2 nights, we saw the ruins and did Vesuvius ( the public bus takes you up 1000 metres high, book entrance tickets online beforehand as no internet service up here.
Pompei
the apartment and host were great. the location was only two blocks from the Pompei ruins and great restaurants. the hosts responded immediately to messages and were at the apartment upon our arrival to let us in. also the most comfortable bed we had in Italy, better than 4 star hotels. the parking was secured. the hosts even responded to our questions of places to go shopping for specific items
Pompei
The B&B was located very close to the Pompeii ruins, and also close to the trains to Naples and Sorrento. Our room was clean, the bathroom and the shower were spacious and the shared kitchen with some food was a nice extra. Communication with the owner was easy, he made sure we found the place and replied to our messages straight away. Overall great value!
