    Can be a bit crowded.

Can be a bit crowded. Abandoned idea of bus trip to Positano as the queues were absurd. Lovely back streets and two harbours. Good for train travellers as Station is quite central. Easy for Pompeii on train.

Ten days in Sorrento was a lovely time.

Ten days in Sorrento was a lovely time. Wonderful town with lots of bars and restaurants with absolutely fabulous food. Don't just go to the big places. The small venues really pull out the stops and produce some gorgeous food. Sorrento is a great base to explore from. The Amalfi Coast is just stunning to visit. The views are great and the food is better still. Boat trips to Capri or onto the Amalfi Coast are quick and easy to organise. Not really any beaches. What is available is private with sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. This is not cheap though. Some hotels allow non-staying guests to hire sunbeds for approx £20 for the day

Beautiful, great dining and shopping and local life.

Beautiful, great dining and shopping and local life. A bit if a walk to trendy part of Sorrento so wear good shoes. Flip flops not recommended. Dont plan to take a taxi easily unless you are at train station or a fancy hotel. They are not everywhere on streets waiting to be hailed. If you go to Capri on boat, check the weather. IF its windy skip it. Our boat worthy group was mighty sick on our windy day. Go to the local supermarkets, there are a few near where we stayed. Food is so reasonable and its a fun experience. Get all of the SOrrento specialties, the Gnocchi, the lemon special cake, limoncello, and the lemon ice. All worth it!

The first night we went to Francos for a pizza it was delicious. We walked to the square most evenings and met with friends at Chaps Irish bar to watch the football and cathcup. We attended a wedding at Villa Antiche Mura the views were fantastic and the food was lovely. The backdrop was a view of Mount Vesuvius. We didnt visit Pompei as I was advised the terrain was unsteady and I am recovering from a broken ankle. The Square was lovely many gift shops and lots of Tourists. A very pretty place and fabulous views. The traffic is nuts and lots of scooters. I enjoyed relaxing and looking at the shops. I enjoyed my visit but I would try another part of Italy next time with not so many Tourists. My stay was just right for me. I would have gone to Capree but the boat trips were expensive and apparenty its packed when you get there maybe another visit to plan. Happy hour was very nice and the restuarants near the square were not to over priced.

Larger and busier than we expected, and although they are wondeful, it’s very expensive to use the beaches. Wonderful views across the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius and very pretty in the town centre with lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Taxis expensive and buses to where we stayed could be more frequent and run later into the evening, and don’t ever rely on the Circumvesuviana trains running on time, but a beautiful and great place to stay

Sorrento is by far the best place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. It is easy to navigate, walk, and most of all easier on the wallet. It has so many restaurants and wonderful shops. You can visit the other cities by car. We rented a Vespa and cruised everywhere along the Amalfi Coast. It was the best experience. Sorrento has wonderful sunsets so you aren't missing out on those "Amalfi Sunsets". I must say Sorrento is a hidden treasure. By far my favorite.

The host/ owner was exceptional! You can't get better. She clearly cares deeply about the room and wants those staying to have the best experience. Our room was immaculately decorated with much attention to detail. It was cleaned daily to perfection. An excellent shower with lovely soap and shampoos. I couldn't have asked for more and at such a great location close to the train station and only a 5 minutes walk to old town Sorrento and the water at an affordable price Our favourite accommodation in Italy and beyond.

Everything was great in our stay! Super clean, modern, exactly as the photos, 5 min walking from the bus/train station and 10 min walking from the city center. The breakfast included is simple, possible in 2 different cafeterias, one brioche or croissant, a coffee and a juice, but all were so good! I really recommend, one of the best places in Italy that we've stayed.
