The main staff was accomodating and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and provided a easy dinner. The breakfast was one of the best full breakfasts we have had at a hotel in Italy. The rooms are clean and modern. The pool was cool and very nice for catching some rays. Our family was able to have two adjoining rooms.

Salerno is excellent if you plan to visit Amalfi coast. A lot cheaper and a lot less people than the more famous towns. There's ferrys almost every hour from Salerno to Positano and Amalfi and a few other towns too. Be there from the morning cause it's a lot of people after 10.
We enjoyed the walk along the seaside and the old city center where you can find a lot of options to eat. The traffic is busy and erratic, be careful if you come here by car. The turning lights are rarely if ever used and they don't mind cutting in front of you.
Salerno is well connected to the Amalfi Coast by boat, and to southern Italy by train. It's a great base for a holiday exploring the region but not without its own charms - a splendid seashore promenade and an atmospheric old town.
Interesting italian city. Very pleasant harbour and waterfront. Great location for taking the ferry up the Amalfi coast. It is a nice city with lots of interesting streets and some good places to eat. We have very much enjoyed our trip to the Amalfi coast and we have been delighted to have chosen Salerno as our base. It's an easy going, relatively un-touristy kind of place.
I liked the shopping area, easy access to other places on Amalfi coast by ferry. People were very friendly & helpful, esp since we didn’t know language. Really like the neighborhood around where we stayed. Fruit market, bakery, grocery, & restaurants.
It's a great place to explore the Amalfi Coast if you want to avoid the tourist crowds and high prices in the rest of the coast. Not as pretty as other places, but you can find nice places to eat and stay

Great place, great host. Very central in Salerno. All great eating places are 5-10 minutes walking. The seafront is 3 minutes walking. The port to take ferrys is 15 min. So location is super! Very quite rooms. Super comfortable beds. Clean. Nice bathroom. Best part is they have AC and an elevator! Which most places in Italy don't. So it was great. Host was really helpful for suggesting places to eat, booking a taxi etc. Was really safe for single women alone.
Salerno
We had a brilliant stay and we were so touched by our host and her daughter’s kindness. The breakfasts were beyond lovely and everything was phenomenal. I will absolutely recommend to any friend going to see the amalfi cost to stay with her. It was super easy to catch the train to Salerno, 5 min/2 stops and the neighborhood of a Pastena was lovely and full of locals. She is very cautious with Covid and I felt really safe. I appreciate their diligence against the virus
