Beautiful, helpful hosts. You must stay here. Little bit of a walk to restaurants. Parking included and very safe behind a boom gate.

I bought the l`arte in campania card for 3 days,which cost 32 euros and i entered the archaelogical museum and pompeii this included transport in the region,i caught train to pompeii scavi for pompeii and train to ercolana for coach to vesuvius (coach and entry to vesuvius not included on card) but metro and buses and funicular was.

Old Caserta (medieval) great for historical buildings, country scenery, including a magnificent herd of goats and a beautiful old church. There are also a couple of restaurants there--Lupo's was recommended but we chose to picnic instead Read that a scene from Star Wars 5 was filmed at the Palace but Palace was closed on a Tuesday so we couldn't see it. Next time we'll take a train to Campania to explore. Fantastic shopping in town-bought a leather jacket at Nera's and the shop owner hemmed the sleeves for us that very day. If you want an easy pace, fantastic food and history go here.

Naples was the control center of south Italy before Italy...
Naples was the control center of south Italy before Italy was united, so there are many museums and castles of interest within the city itself. It is also a good base to explore the Campania region like Pompeii, Ercolano, Mt. Vesuvio and even Sorrento. Highly recommended for people to get the Campania arte card Tutte la regione to travel. And of course, Naples is the origin of pizza margheritas and they take their Baba al rhums very seriously!

Lovely town in the Campania of Italy. People were welcoming. Several lovely shops including a. gelato shop. Several restaurants including a wonderful dinner at our hotel. Municipal officials friendly and courteous. Beautiful church of St. Antonio di Padova and Castello Ducale. Wish the facilities were open more regularly. Need a few days to see the sights.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station (we came up from Naples by train), the Royal Palace (our main reason for visiting Caserta), and car rental outlets (we left in a rental car to visit the Campanian wine country. We were perfectly satisfied with our choice, the location perfect for our needs as well as being close to the centre of town (for window shopping) and good restaurants (there is an in-house restaurant, but we ate dinner elsewhere). The room was comfortable and well appointed.

Location provides handy access to all the major destinations in and around Campania (it’s about a 15 minute walk uphill from the ferry dock) without the crowds, etc. Access to hotel resources (vs asking a landlord) was a plus (e.g. fresh beach towels).
