I absolutely loved Favignana and truly wish I had stayed at least four nights to fully appreciate the beauty and charm of this incredible island. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and just enjoy life by the sea. Getting around is a breeze—renting a bike is the perfect way to explore. The island is small enough to navigate easily, yet full of diverse landscapes and hidden spots waiting to be discovered. What really took my breath away was the water—crystal clear and painted in the most vibrant shades of blue I’ve ever seen. It’s almost unreal. One thing to note: many of the beaches have sharp rocks that you’ll need to walk over to reach the water. It’s a small price to pay for such pristine conditions, but water shoes might be a good idea! Another highlight was the hike up to Castello di Santa Caterina. The climb is worth every step—on the way up, you're rewarded with panoramic views that stretch across the island and out to the sea. And when you finally reach the castle, even in its weathered state, it's absolutely stunning. There's something incredibly powerful about standing in such a historic place, surrounded by silence and sky. Favignana is so much more than a quick stop on a day trip. Favignana is a great Island to visit just off the coast of Trapani, only 30 minutes by hydrofoil. You can hire bikes to get around the island, lots of little coves and beaches. The main port town is beautiful and lively on the main street with lots of bars, restaurants and cafes.
