- From $399.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 854 reviewsThe best boutique family hotel in Italy I visited. They should have 10 rating - no doubts. The breakfast is simply amazing - plenty of different things to choose from. Pastries are delicious , the variety of nuts is amazing and possibility to prepare your freshly squeezed juice is just a cherry on the top. Kids did love the place - the trampoline, the play area in the breakfast room , the play area on the lake - wow ! Also being able to use a SUP at 6 am on a peaceful and silent like is an experience I will not forget. We also did use kayaks and boat rental and enjoyed it very much. Try their restaurant ! It’s really good ! 4 formaggi pizza is TDF ! Last but not least- the view from the room - incredible !!! Also the staff was always really sweet, smiley and helpful. Thank you so much Hotel Villa Aurora !!! 😍Guest review byKarolinaPoland

It is a wondeful city with Ferries' pier, making it easy to reach and explore all famous cities of the lake Como (Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). One must be ready to wake up early, at 6 AM to buy full-day Ferry ticket. Once it is done, the Como lake can be explored freely with no need to stay in the queues.Guest review byVladislavItaly - 8.0

Bellagio is a beautiful place, though it can be quite busy and crowded. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an unpleasant encounter with a policewoman who was not friendly at all. We had just arrived and accidentally parked in a residential parking area. Despite our attempt to explain the mistake and our immediate departure, she issued us a ticket. On top of our already tight schedule, we then had to spend time figuring out how and where to pay the fine.Guest review byR YRCanada - 10.0

A beautiful town on the shores of Lake Como. Plenty to do and the town has excellent amenities. The promenade along the side of the lake is fantastic but the old town a few streets in is also great to wander around.Guest review byDominiqueUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved Menaggio - the location is right on Lake Como - plenty of eating options and all in easy walking distance. Prking is an issue though - in August anyway. Everyone in the town is very friendly. Having the ferry service at Menaggio is useful for getting easily to other towns on the Lake - much quicker than driving.Guest review byMurrayNew Zealand - 10.0

Extremely beautiful village very clean, even in middle of July, it did not feel overcrowded, easy walk to all attractions, Villa Monastero gardens is a must. Enjoyed, 4hrs in Billagio for sightseeing and shopping although very crowded. Side trip via bus to the gorge in Bellano was a highlight. Note: This was our 60th wedding anniv.Guest review byHARRYUnited States - 8.0

Colico is a quiet town at the top of Lake Como. Great for getting away from the crowds, and easy to get a ferry to the main sites. If you like sailing even better, decent beach and good waterfront restaurants and small local supermarket.Guest review byMark PedrozUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I’d definetly book this place again, great views.
I’d definetly book this place again, great views. It was fairly easy to get to and from, bit of a long journey but didn’t mind. The staff were great and the other people staying were nice to very international and friendly oh and I loved seeing peoples dogs but I’m not sure if they were staying there? The room was clean, beds comfortable, WiFi not sure it worked, breakfast good and fair price.Guest review byisabellaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

It's a cute town with some lovely restaurants and easy enough to walk around for someone of average fitness. However if your purpose is to explore most of Lake Como, you will be limited to the slow ferry up to Bellagio / Varenna / Menaggio which takes 2-3hours. We had originally booked to stay in Varenna but cancelled due to works on the train line to get there. It still would have been a better option, or just staying in Como town to access the fast ferry. Most of the private boat tours also pick up from Como or from the "Golden Triangle" of the lake.Guest review byLouiseAustralia - 10.0

Pretty little lake side town across lake from Lecco. Easy walk of 25 mins to Lecco centre with plenty of local restaurants and supermarkets/marts within walking distance. Free parking around area as well if happy to walk a bit to where you are staying if in apartment vs hotelGuest review byJamesAustralia - 10.0

We walked around the area, went to the grocery store, went down to the lake, walked around the city along the lake. We chose restaurants based on our favorite Italian rule: go where the locals go. Luckily, there are very few tourists in Mandello, so it was easy to find good places with tasty and cheap food. We moved around the city on foot. You have to take into account that the city is located at the base of a mountain, and part of the time you have to walk uphill.Guest review byKarinaEstonia
