'The palace' as we called it was amazing! The vintage decor transported us to a different era of elegance. The room was spacious and warm with an area to live as well as sleep. The onsen was amazing. Ski in ski out too. Other activities such as hot pot lunch in an igloo was a bonus.

Best choice for travellers without a car. Great location, spacious room, friendly staff, and what most impressed me is the transfer service. Will definitely recommend to my friends who would like to explore Hakuba.

Clean confortable close to main attraction in the areea. Its a cabin.but each room has its own shower and toilet .

Delicious Japanese breakfast served every morning, discounted rental rates for skis/snowboards just next door. Convenience store just located across the road. Very close to the slopes. Public onsen available as well!

The hotel location is quite nice. 1.7 km to Hakuba station, one Lawson nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming plus they responded very promptly whenever we have any needs via chat. Lastly, the shuttle provided by the hotel was unforgettable that brought us to the restaurants and the parks. I wish I could come back again during the snow season.

Loved the very very friendly staff, the meals, and the easy bus pickup to ski anywhere in the Hakuba Valley. Was surprised how many sports stores, coffee places were close by. Great onsen.

Great restaurant and beers downstairs. Super friendly and helpful staff, they picked us up, arranged our ski hire gear and instructor. English speaking too.

The host is extremely helpful and friendly. She helped us to send ski gears to the airport thru Yamato and gave us a lift to nearby bus stop. She’s very passionate and care about our stay experience. The stay also has a mini onsen for relax after the ski day.

The place was impeccably clean. Felt brand new, had great bedding (we reminisced over it at the other places we stayed), really everything was top notch. There was a great place to store your ski gear, let your ski wear dry, the kitchen facility had everything you'd need, the showers were great (had soap etc; an area to blow dry your hair). There was also a laundry room, but you had to pay for it. It was really remote in a very romantic you're alone in a winter wonderland way. You are really close to the ski hill and even closer to the shuttle bus stop.

The staff at hotel oak forest were very helpful. The outdoor onsen was beautiful with the snow falling. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the buffet breakfast extensive.

The location was great, right in the middle of Happo village near restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size. The hotel staff really made the stay special. Super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I plan on coming back in winter as the location can’t be beaten. Would highly recommend staying here.

The onsen with the Mountain View is amazing! The buffet breakfast and dinner are great with a wide range of choices! We will be back again.

Great hotel with friendly stuff

We had such a beautiful experience staying at From P. The property is so well looked after and you can really tell a lot of care goes into every detail. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the whole stay feel so welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were given welcome drinks during the tour, which was such a lovely touch. The sauna and ice bath experience was a highlight and made the stay feel extra special and relaxing. I was a little concerned about whether the domes would stay warm enough, but they were actually very cosy, especially with the electric blankets provided. It made for the best night’s sleep. Even the shared bathroom roster worked seamlessly and was so well organised. Everything exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend staying here.

Very central, short walks to Happo One Bus Terminal to get shuttles to ski resorts, heaps of food options around, staff were helpful & smiling always! Restaurant downstairs looked nice but ran out of time to try!

While Japan is great with digital check ins, it was so nice having a genuine connection with the staf, especially Anis. There is so much charm and hospitality in this place. While it may not be modern accommodation, it makes up for it in customer service and comfort. Hotel manager Anis went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, they picked us up at the bus station, organised our Goryu ski passes, shuttled us to and from the rental place for free and genuinely wanted to make things easy for us. Accommodation was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - you get a small set breakfast (mostly American style) as well as a buffet to top up (more Asian cuisine), more than enough to keep you fuelled for the morning. Bonus: They give you 20% off rental at Cherry rentals (literally across the road from Escal Plaza) as well as a free shuttle from the resort (it’s only a short 400m if you miss the last shuttle). Plus a small discount for ski passes. Thank you so much Anis and crew for our stay!!

Literally able to walk outside the door and get onto the ski lifts. Location could not be any better. Staff were also very friendly, complimentary breakfast was great, and they were very kind to let us store our bags there for the day after we checked out in the morning. Room and bathroom were clean and heater worked well. The room was also quite spacious even with the futon beds fully setup.

Stunning Alpine location, close to everything, with mountains right at your doorstep. A perfect base for exploring. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed, including a well-equipped Kitchen and laundry facilities, which were very helpful.
