Location was perfect. Ski rental equipment outlet Rhythm was just outside the hotel. You could also return the equipment on site in the ski locker section. Complimentary shuttle services to Evergreen Ski School also made it so convenient. Rooms were comfortable, clean, functional and so well thought out. Absolutely love the cosy vibe of the property. Onsen in the property provided a perfect ending to any ski day!

Stayed here for 6 nights for a ski holiday and we had to change room half way through as I booked late and they were fully booked. Lovely staff they moved our stuff to the new room which meant we could go out for the day to enjoy skiing. Location isn't in the centre of town which wasn't a problem. There is a shuttle bus to the ski resorts, if you don't have a car. We did have a car which made it really easy. Onsen was lovely after a full day's of skiing. There was a ski rental shop opposite the hotel which was convent. We had breakfast and dinner included one of the waitresses called June was super friendly and very welcoming. Was a joy to see her everyday.

The onsen (indoor and outdoor) and sauna were amazing after a whole day of skiing, the room was spacious, breakfast was very well balanced and delicious, and the customer service was good. The hotel driver was such a kind friendly and helpful man and brought us to the slopes that were least crowded in the morning (sorry, I can't remember his Japanese name!). Location was great, especially for taking the bus shuttle to different slopes - bus stop was literally just outside the hotel. Very close to restaurants in the Happo One area and Lawson as well.

This hotel is much better than the photos shown in booking.com, especially the onsen, the photos shown in booking.com needed to be updated, to show the nice and clean onsen. The dinner and breakfast provided by the hotel, is the best Japanese meals my family ever had, It's very delicious and fresh, we enjoyed and finished everything in our plates. The onsen is not big but very nice, it has 2 onsen - one outdoor and one indoor, both are very warm and fantastic feel, especially after ski.

Loved our stay at El Mayo the couple who run to place are both legends. The shuttle bus is so handy and they do their best to take care of all the guests even when we came back from the slopes with injuries, they had handy little medical heating patches which was highly appreciated. They also went out of their way to check on everyone after the earthquake 🙂

Comfy breakfast and ski in sky out resort, perfect for you to quickly get to the chair lift/gondola without carrying the heavy ski or board gears on the road. The room is very clean with room cleaning, and there’s public onsen perfect after a long day of skiing

Also has a bus stop near by for those wishing to have easy access to the slopes in ski season. Efficient connectivity from Tokyo Station by Shinkansen and the bus that take us from Nagano Station to Hakuba Valley. Not sure why we can't book the bus ticket online prior to our departure as uncertainties like this especially during high session always make me nervous. Allow plenty of time to arrive at Tokyo Station to orientate yourself, we learnt first time that you have to insert two tickets into the slot. On our return we purposely left Hakuba a bit earlier to spend time at Nagano Station that has gourmet dessert shops, delicious takeaways food and even fashion items. Hakuba is charming and as non-skiers I had the opportunity to do snowshoeing into deep forest to see the back mountain. Plenty of good food, my favourite is the food truck that sells Wagyu Rice, Calico Burger with their bbq burger and of course the institutional Lawson

Well, this Japanese resort had the edge on the European Alps for snow this Christmas (despite early snow in the Alps). The resort runs were bare when we got there but conditions at altitude were very good, and enhanced by a massive dump of snow mid-week. There are plenty of Onsen bathing options - perfect for relaxing Apres ski and whether public or private they cost very little - I wish I could have visited more of them! Snow monkeys climbing the pylons in Happo-One a definite highlight!

Great location directly opposite chair lifts and Gondola. Easy to ski in/out. Hotel was great. Recently refurbished and well managed . Staff were excellent and friendly and offered great service.Good bar and cafe as part of hotel made the stay more pleasant. Rooms are roomy by Japanese hotel standards but are a little functional as opposed to comfortable. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable.

Staff in the reception is very helpful and willing to provide you all useful information about the status of all outdoor activities and scenic spots. And you can book subtle bus to reach all these places. Don't miss the coffee in the coffee bar as it reaches Barista-making level. The hot spring public bath on top floor has a genius source of it. Must try! There is a Lawson just located in the other side of the main road. You can buy some stuff with a very short walking distance. There are not so many restaurants operating during weekdays. I would prefer to walking to snow peak LAND STATION to have my meal. It takes 20 minutes to go there. The bus terminal is just next to the hotel. I found it very easy to leave for Nagano train station after checked out. Overall I will stay again next time when I'm back.

I love this location. you can get everywhere without a car because there are many shuttles, taxis, and buses. the hotel staff will drive you for free at this place. also you can walk to some nearby places if it is not too cold for you. make sure you bring waterproof shoes and cold weather socks and clothes. renting snowboard gear can be cheaper than bringing your own.
