- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 130 reviewsWe found everything was great here, the room, the private and public hot bath; the food and the staff. The location of Ryokan Yoshidaya is excellent. It is close to the river where it has a road of sakura. We had a perfect walk in the morning and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at Worikara, a villa just a stone's throw away from its main ryokan and a perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day's hike. We liked the breakfast and the dinner which were rich in varieties and taste. Finally, we must give credits to the staff who served us. They were friendly, helpful and patient to answer our questions. The translation system in the mobile phones they were using was perfect to break the language barrier and in fact, some of the staff who served us spoke excellent English. Our only regret was that we had no time to visit its cafe. We would definitely stay at this ryokan again when we visit Fukuoka again next year.Guest review bychi keungHong Kong
- From $322.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 248 reviewsThis is just a superb, outstanding hotel in a superb natural environment. 1. A fantastic location: one side faces (50 m from) the sea, on opposite side, a nice pine forest. Quiet location, but close to the town and to a railway station. The beach is of sand, long and wide with a few people on it. 2. The rooms are very large and well equipped, with fully opened view of the sea. Every tiny detail was well thought; everything you may think of was provided, including indoor closes. And every corner is perfectly cleaned. 3. Polite, friendly and quickly responsive staff. 4. Interesting and reach, mainly Japanese, kitchen. Overall, I was surprised to get this exceptionally good service and conditions for the relatively small money I paid. This hotel unlikely is for those who likes entertainment, noisy bars and disco. Just for relaxing in Paradise!Guest review byOlegSwitzerland
- From $439.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 3,303 reviewsThe hotel is very well connected to Hakata Station via underground walkway. The direct elevators to the rooms are literally located in the station’s basement floor so all you need is your keycard and viola. The hotel is very new, modern and has very good sized rooms with spacious bathrooms and great amenities. The TV also has Apple TV so you can watch your favorite shows without worrying for bedtime or while eating in the room. There are a lot of food options (in and around Hakata Station), a Starbucks next door, two Lawsons and a Family Mart just around the corners. The staff were amazing and polite and spoke very good English so you don’t have to worry about the language barrier. Thank you for the amazing service and treatment.Guest review byMOHAMEDBahrain
- From $112.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 534 reviewsThe very best Ryokan, I've ever stayed in. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. Room was super comfy with a private outdoor bath, very spacious. There were 10 private onsens to choose from, which required no reservation, and also public onsens situating indoor and outdoor to enjoy. The buffet breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding with a great variety, including beef yakiniku, steaks, free-flow beers, what a delicacy! Worth every Yen spent. There were also gashapons, claw machine games, table tennis to enjoy, and a small mini mart to shop from. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely with recommend this place, and will visit again, cheers!Guest review byNattineeThailand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 472 reviewsMt. Inasayama is a major tourist attraction in Nagasaki. The hotel is located on the mountain and offers a grand view of Nagasaki Harbor and wharf especially at night. The staff are great, helpful and very polite. The facilities offer gorgeous views, several large baths (not onsen hot springs, but similar) a couple restaurant choices and a bar. Of course all the usual amenities are available. It's not the most modern hotel, but that's what gives it character. It was a fantastic choice for our last night in Nagasaki on this trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would book it again.Guest review byStephenJapan
- From $209.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 138 reviewsAn unexpected highlight of my vacation. After a long day of hikes around the Ebino Plateau I was really looking forward to this hotel, and it exceeded my expectations by far. I was greeted by a cordial receptionist who graciously took my luggage and gave a tour of the facilities. The large onsen baths here are amazing and it's great to be able to try so many different baths in a single facility. Dinner was nothing short of exquisite and was very filling--not to mention, the breakfast buffet was amazing! I really wished I had stayed longer here.Guest review byCodyUnited States

Kagoshima in winter - Feb - can be very cold. Food here is great and the Satsuma Japanese wonderful. Black is a lucky color in Kagoshima thus the my son's Rebnise basketball team wears black at home games. Taxis are always available at stations and it is not far from anywhere. A day trip to Ibuski's sand baths is recommended - on fine days. Plenty of public natural mineral water onsens are available. Shiroyama's has a fantastic view .The ferry ride and Rainbow Onsen on Sakurajima is great.Guest review byJohn CantorAustralia - 10.0

You can enjoy shopping a lot or nature scenery as well. Very recommended. We love Aso area a lot, mountains there are green like Macha and food/fruit are really delicious, for example: tomatoes or milk, pudding....etc.Guest review byFen ChinTaiwan - 6.0

It is a nice place just to do nothing but it is not that beautiful. The resort we stayed at had absolutely nothing near or around it and the shuttle bus service was not consistent or frequent. To go to the gorge took 4 hours by bus, train and bus and walking. I would probably choose another beautiful place or island as a preference now I know this.Guest review byFionaAustralia - 6.0
Not a great deal to do or see in Oita.
Not a great deal to do or see in Oita. The castle ruins holds some interest. A very friendly man in a temporary office in the car park helpfully explained more about the castle and it's moats. Could use Oita as a base for visiting Beppu if you can't get accommodation there By train it's only 280 yen and 12 minutes away.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Really great seaside town with a large American influence due to the military base in town. The food was great and the night scene lovely as well, though I wish I had more time to visit the Bio Park - will plan to go next time! Haus Ten Bosch was a really unique experience and I'm glad I went!Guest review byAnnaUnited States - 8.0

Morning walk along the waterway when there were not many tourists was peaceful and enjoyable. The are lots of small shops on the main street, but might be too crowded to enjoy. The shops close around 5pm. My favorite eating place was Pizzeria Kunugi no Oka; good food and good view of the Yufu city.Guest review byMukPThailand
