Where to even begin… our stay at Whale Shark Beach is one we will not forget. The staff were so accommodating and friendly for our entire stay. They always welcomed us back from our excursions or just afternoons out on the beach and always wanted to know what we had done that day. The food was immaculate and we ended up eating at the hotel every night so we could keep trying things off the menu. The rooftop dining area is especially lovely, it’s nice to be able to see the stars during the evening. The excursions team were absolutely incredible. We saw dolphins, turtles, various reefs and had an unforgettable experience swimming with manta rays. The team were also incredibly generous and allowed us to join two additional manta ray and whale shark trips for no additional cost after we had not seen them initially. The boat was well equipped and the team were incredibly focussed on guest safety in the water as well as enjoyment. Another key thing that we applaud the excursions team on is ensuring the safety and well being of the wild animals we saw whilst out on the sea. The boat engine was immediately turned off as soon as we saw dolphins and they kept a good distance away instead of chasing and harassing the animals. Additionally, prior to one of our whale shark tours we were briefed on how to swim with the animal safely and were reminded that if anyone tried to touch or swim to close to the animal they would be removed from the water. As someone who works in marine animal conservation, I applaud the team at Whale Shark Beach for putting the animals first and ensuring that both them and the guests could have a safe and enjoyable experience. The room was lovely. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’d ever slept in and very spacious. The television also had smart options available to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime which was a big bonus.

The property itself is brand new, very modern and chic. The room featured a nice king-sized bed with a balcony as nice as their official pictures, even though my room is not a sea view room, there is still a bit of sea view and you can see sunrise directly. The location is right on the beach, breakfast is delicious and hosted on the beach. At night they turn the magical fairy lights on. Their crew is very friendly and very quick with responses. Towels and beach towels are provided. I had to make some last-minute tour arrangement and Assad has made it happen with no sweat and in record time. I know they call themselves an Inn, but in reality they deliver as if they are a Relais and Chateaux with a beaming smile!

If you want a chill environment, beautiful garden view, excellent local breakfast and the most hospitality in your stay then Chillax is for you. This group of folks have such passion in helping you enjoy your stay. My experience went something like this..... I was greeted at the boat dock by a golf cart ride to Chillax as I entered through the gate I was at aww with the beautiful garden flowers, plants, trees. I sat down to a delicious coconut beverage while I was given the details of the guest house and a private escort to the beach just so I knew where to go when the time came for a beach day. Simply amazing experience here. The island is quiet and relaxing, I had some hiccups on my last day because of my employers website for travel was not working. The Manager of chillax was so quick to tell me that everything will be fine and that I could infact stay one more night in the same room that I had booked for the last two nights. It was kind of a big deal for me because I had to stay one more night or find something else on the island. I had previously been in India for 1 week prior and I really needed to wash my laundry, without hesitation they offered there service of laundry to me with no charge, I was shocked. When people think of Maldives they think expensive, that's not at all the case. With the price I paid I felt like it was an over the top experience and I wish that everyone could find out for themselves. Thank you Chillax for everything.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Sky View. We felt very welcome from the beginning. Areef met us at the ferry, walked us over to the place, and gave us a welcome drink. He then showed us around the island and made some recommendations for where to eat, swim, and snorkel. He really understands how to take great care of you while also giving you space, which we appreciated. He also fulfilled our only two requests: 1) we asked for and received a Maldivian breakfast instead of the continental breakfast that he planned to serve us; and 2) we were able to change from a room without a window to a room with a window. (Perhaps you won't be able to get/do that during high season, but we stayed there during low season.) The wifi worked very well (but wasn't perfect, as per usual in the Maldives). We booked a whale shark snorkeling tour on our last day and were thankful that Areef worked hard to make sure we spotted several of the amazing animals (as well as some dolphins). The outdoor seating area is very relaxing. You can borrow snorkeling gear for free. We stayed 4 nights and easily could have stayed longer (mostly thanks to Areef)!

    An Unforgettable Solo Birthday in Paradise! I visited Veligandu as a solo traveler for my birthday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I never once felt alone. The staff made me feel like I was among friends – they were incredibly kind and treated me with such warmth and care that I felt extra special throughout my stay. It truly felt like I had a second family there. The daily itineraries were packed with exciting activities – I had the chance to go snorkeling, join a dolphin cruise, and more. Every day brought something new, and I loved being able to choose how I spent my time. The dining options were plentiful, and every meal was delicious. A highlight for me was the teppanyaki restaurant – the Teperniak Chef MrZ Francis was amazing! Because it was my birthday, they even put on a whole show for me, making the experience unforgettable. Evenings were just as lively as the days. There was always something happening – one night it was jazz, and another night was 80s disco, which was by far my favorite! The entertainment and atmosphere were perfect. The food was exceptional at all times – from the breakfast selection to lunch, dinner, and even the snacks by the beach. I savored every bite and truly enjoyed every second of my stay. Initially, I booked for three nights thinking I might get bored, but by the end, I wished I had stayed for a week! I also want to give a special shoutout to the diving team. Miss Sarah, Mr. Misbah, and the absolute star, Julia, took care of me from start to finish. Julia, in particular, was incredibly comforting and made sure I felt at ease all day. I wholeheartedly recommend Veligandu – not just for the breathtaking location but for the people who make it truly special. This will not be my last visit! I can’t wait to return with my loved ones to share this magical place with them. Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable!

    We have absolutely loved everything at Constance Moofushi! It was our first time in the Maldives and after a long research, we chose Constance Moofushi for our honeymoon. The island is small, but beautiful. The house reef is just a short swim away and is full of colourful marine life. We even saw baby sharks and eagle rays during our walks to / from our room! The food was great, we loved both the Manta restaurant and Alizee - Manta is the buffet and has a different theme each dinner, while Alizee is more upscale dining, but we really enjoyed both types of food. At Manta there was always a huge selection of different food to choose from, so we always left dinner very happy! My advice is to do some of the activities offered by the diving centre - the guys at the diving centre were so friendly and truly great. We enjoyed the snorkeling extravaganza tour, dolphin adventure and the nurse sharks trip the most. We also booked one dive, after which we decided to do the PADI open water license! Our instructor Gaia was great and very patient. If you're on a honeymoon, or even if you're just traveling as a couple, there are many couple activities you can book. We did Cinefushi, the moonlight dinner and the sunset sailing Dhoni, they were both so nice and added some romantic time to our stay. We also had some couple massages at the spa - Prajin was so nice to us and is a great yoga teacher as well. The masseuses were very good, we enjoyed our massages a lot! The staff was lovely and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay and didn't need anything. Every single staff member was kind and helped us in any way possible. We particularly enjoyed seeing the staff looking relaxed and having time to chat with us sometimes, without having to stressfully run to other customers.     Honestly exceeded our expectations. First of all island itself is very very pretty, blue water pristine white sandy beaches. Picture perfect. You can sense the island is well managed, cleaned and taken care of. Our beach villa with pool (No 254) was absolute stunning, clean villa, comfy bed, huge ass TV for late night movie sessions. My favorite part was outdoors bathroom with backyard shower. Room service is done 2 times a day and was done so professionally, shout out to Mr Ishrafeel for keeping it extremely tidy whenever we came back. All that aside what really sets apart this resort and all the hotels I have been in my entire life, are the staff. Each one of them are so incredibly sweet and caring. Our host Miss Gehani was amazing, she looked after us at every step of our stay, checking up on us, making our stay so so wonderful. I wanna give a special shout out to the chefs as well at the buffet for being super friendly and making us amazing grilled dishes and amazing breakfast - Mr Ibrahim, Mr Nihar, Mr Kalam, Mr Majeed. Oh and of course the 2 waiters who served us were awesome as well Mr Krishna, Mr Ramesh and Mr Alim (at the beach bar) thank you so much for being amazing servers. Mr Alim as well for serving us amazing coconut water. While on the topic of food, I'd say the head chefs did quite a good job on creating a wonderful menu for buffer dinner and breakfast. Each day something different and tasty. Finally I wanna shout out to the water sports team and parasaling team for assisting us and making us feel safe. And finally shout out to our bell boy Mr Kawser2 for giving us a tour of the island. Overall best 7 days of our lives.

The food was exquisite—fresh seafood, delicious international cuisine, and beautifully presented dishes. The beachfront dining under the stars was a highlight, and the chefs accommodated dietary requests with a smile. Special thanks to the bartender, Amid. 
Nika Resort is a hidden gem in the Maldives, offering luxury, tranquility, and authentic island charm. I left feeling completely refreshed and already dream of returning. Highly recommended for honeymooners, couples, or anyone seeking a slice of heaven!     Excellent hotel. We stayed in a family villa with a private beach and pool. The villa was two-story and for the safety of our child, partitions were made on the stairs. For a child of 2 years old, they provided a comfortable spacious crib. The coast is clean, wide, the entrance to the water is very convenient. Many animals: stingrays, small sharks, various fish, herons, gulls. Our meals were based on breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is excellent, very varied and plentiful. For dinner every evening the cuisine of different countries, which does not give you the opportunity to get bored. And a wide variety of food options. The entire hotel team was very attentive, friendly and responsive to all our wishes. Separately, I would like to note our Vill Hosts Palash. Every time the cleaning was excellent! Always friendly and responsive. Very attentive to all our requests and wishes. Just super! I would also like to mention Assistant Manager Max in the hotel restaurant. He surrounded us with care and attention. That makes you feel like a special guest. Warm and sincere from such an attitude, I want to return again. Also thanks to Victoria at the reception, who helped us organize a convenient and comfortable transfer to Male. In general, the most kind and vivid impressions of staying at this hotel: beautiful, cozy, welcoming and warm. Highly recommend to visit

    The reception was wonderful, paying attention to all the details and making sure we were comfortable. Our reception upon entering the island was nice, and the honeymoon preparations at the villa were beautiful. The cleaning service was always excellent and very satisfactory. The other special thing was the restaurant. In the beginning, the restaurant staff were wonderful without exception, very nice and always with a smile on their faces despite their tiring work. As for the food, it was more than wonderful. At breakfast there was always a great variety of dishes available, and the dishes were also delicious. For lunch and dinner you always find a great variety, different types of dishes, different meats and other things that I did not expect, a very large buffet, to the point that you cannot try everything, every day the buffet is different and the dishes change, the corner for making pastas, hamburgers, barbecues and other things that they cook in front of Your eyes were so special and delicious. In addition to daily offers and various beautiful activities. Honestly, I need to write several pages to describe how wonderful it was to spend a honeymoon there, but overall everything was wonderful and beyond expectations.

    We chose the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island to celebrate our anniversary, and it turned out to be the most unforgettable trip we’ve ever taken. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The warm welcome, the stunning beauty of the islands, and the seamless service instantly set the tone for a perfect romantic escape. Our overwater villa was luxurious, private, and surrounded by the most breathtaking turquoise waters we’ve ever seen. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and celebrated. We loved the thoughtful sweet surprises in our villa. Dining at Ithaa, the underwater restaurant was once in a lifetime experience—surrounded by sharks and vibrant marine life was absolutely surreal. The ambiance, the service, the cuisine was all unforgettable. It is a perfect place for any celebration. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and so grateful for the memories.

    The best thing about Ellaidhoo was the reef around the island - superb reef with thousands of magnificent species of fish. The room we had with a verandah shaded by trees, lounge beds as well as chairs was great. Banal our house manager did a superb job of looking after us every day. The bed was super comfy. Loved the outdoor bathroom! Food at the buffet restaurant was great with an unending suoply of choices - great service from all staff. The a la carte restaurant was also good. We loved the fact that this resort is doing as much as possible to "green" the resort and is being very public and vocal about it. Also enjoyed the "back of the resort" tour - extremely informative - the biologist's presentation on fish at the resort; the manager's presentation on the background to the resort; and the wonderful island vegetation.

    The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The front staff assisted us schedule a seaplane for our departure, and coordinated with the provider to ensure we arrived to the airport on time, and that we maximized our stay at the resort without worrying about transportation or long wait at the airport. The restaurant and bar staff that we interacted with were very friendly and professional too. They offered us top notch service, made us feel welcome, and our stay memorable. We hope to visit again next year.

    Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.

    An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

    I didn't like that the island lost most of it's green and I didn't see the wild nature I prefer. There was a lot of construction going on the moment I was there, I felt discomfort because of that. And maybe in 1-2 years it's going to be over I think. But on the other hand there's just amazing diving on the house reef and nearby reefs. There's a lot of nice restaurants and there was no day I felt bored.

    We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄 The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there We absolutely recommend

    Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like. Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. The better beach beside it requires you to be clothed. However, the local people are super nice and helpful.

    It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

    You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...

    You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways. Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants. Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type. Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out. Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got. Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

    A Wonderful Beach Holiday. Necessary structure: shops and cafes are available. The ability to pay with a bank card, as well as in cash (USD, MVR). Good exchange rate in all places. I was pleased with both Mathiveri and Mathiveri Finholu: the beaches are clean, the sand does not burn your feet, and there is a comfortable "coolness" in the shade of the trees.

    Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.
