This place is gorgeous! Love the combination of elegance but also quirky decor. The food is beyond fresh (as in just picked out of the garden a few hours earlier) and the staff is uniformly welcoming, friendly and helpful.

    Dordrecht is located in the centre of the island of Funen and as a base for exploring Denmark it is excellent, as other major tourist cities or sites are all in reasonable rail or road distance. As Denmark's oldest city it is well worth a visit. lots to see, lots of history and lots of good food to enjoy.

    Drove and took the backroads on my way to Gorinchem.

    Drove and took the backroads on my way to Gorinchem. Roads were narrow thru the country area and sometimes uphill and downhill. Laahavvvvv it!!!..it was a rainy/stormy weather and it just made me reminisce of the countryside were I grew from. The view and vibe was amazing. Still plan to go back and take the backroads to explore again.

    The whole area was lovely if you like peace and quiet and...

    The whole area was lovely if you like peace and quiet and quaint scenery. We ate at a very nice restaurant called the Krom , where the service was excellent and the food was good. We went for a coffee at a windmill and shop called Graan en zo , selling organic produce!

    Goudriaan is little remote without main (shopping) facilities but it is a beautiful area, pure nature, many streams which I understand is unique but typicall for this area, very romantic I guess if you like being outdoor especially for long walks

    Bewertung. We were 3 Girls on a roadtrip staying at this beautiful Place and we loved it! Its really worth it to book the breakfast. Everything is Made with so much love. If you are a bit picky you have to know: the bathrom is „outside“ and its a camping toilet but its Fine. We couldnt find trash bags so maybe bring your own. Thank you 🫶🏽

    Dordrecht is the coziest and most peaceful city I’ve ever visited - a place where history whispers through every brick, and time seems to slow down just enough to let you breathe. Its charming canals, lined with beautifully preserved old houses and quiet boats, create a picture of timeless Dutch elegance. The architecture is a harmonious blend of the past and present - from graceful merchant houses to the majestic Grote Kerk (Protestant Church), whose tower watches proudly over the city. Every corner of Dordrecht tells a story. The monuments, narrow cobblestone streets, and hidden courtyards carry the weight of centuries, while local traditions bring the city gently to life. I had the joy of experiencing King’s Day here - filled with music, joy, orange everywhere, and a true sense of community spirit.     Beautiful city.

    Beautiful city. Great for walking around and enjoying the historical buildings and public spaces. Wonderful museums and eating places. Great public transport possibilities. Greta accommodation close to access roads.
