It was both offered a selection of a la cart dishes (w/o extra charge) and buffet. Very much enjoyed the hostility and friendliness of the staff. The room was spacious and the bed was fantastic. I did ask during first contact if a room with bathtub was available and they remembered and granted this wish. Overall very pleasant hotel and stay.

This is a gem of a hotel in Bergen. It has a great location, close to the pier and everything. Furthermore, two of the five Michelin-listed restaurants in Bergen (Omakase by Sergey Pak and Izakaya) are in this hotel, which means that the kitchen staff are superb. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had in years. I highly recommend this place, and I would come back when I visit Bergen next time. I will book Omakase months in advance, of course.

I LOVED everything about this hotel! I had a lovely room with a great view of the harbor (I was mesmerized by the Ferris Wheel lights!). I loved the main level gathering space and fireplace, coffee/tea amenities. Breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms provided supplies (shampoo, condition, tissues) which other Thons did not, and the bathroom space was fabulous - a tub and heated floor! I would come back to Bergen just to stay here again :-)

The location is perfect and everything was within the walking distance. The apartment had everything we needed and more - including an iron and ironing board. Most importantly, the heating worked great and there was no noise. The staff were really pleasant and helpful too and the check-in process was quick and easy. We would definitely come back again!

I stayed in Bergen for two nights before catching the...

I stayed in Bergen for two nights before catching the Hurtigruten Coastal Express northwards. The city is relatively compact and safe to walk around. The public transport is clean and efficient. The Cafe Pomme near the Hurtigruten terminal became a favoured stop for a strong coffee and cakes (highly recommended). The funicular ride to a park with viewpoint over the city is well worth doing, and the Bryggen Museum is excellent and beautifully displayed. There is also a stave church (very rare) at Fantoft which you can get to easily using the tram.

Bergen, as typical for Bergen, was a bit rainy! I was hoping so hard for snow, and when it finally fell, it was simply fairy-tale like!Spending the money on a fjord cruise is a must! Don't hesitate, just do it—you won't regret it.

Bergen is walkable and one can surely get lost in the sights, sounds and views. I am so glad that I got to experience a sunny and rain free 3 days in Bergen, that in January. Loved exploring and will definitely be back soon! Stay at Zander K hotel, mind blowing experience, where you will be treated like royalty, value-based focus on treating a customer as a valued asset, did I mention personal touches like handwritten welcome notes! Highly recommend the amazing and fantabulous Zander K Hotel in Bergen. Close to train station and airport tram connection. The Bergen Public Library is a true gem!!! Start maxing your steps!! Make your way to the Kong Oscar Gate and allow the cobbled stoned streets to tell you stories filled with Norwegian history, traditions and culture. Then grab a bite at Bergen Brunsj, Matbar (Zander K Hotel) and the amazing carpet picnic treats you can buy at the Rema 1000 supermarket. Mount Floyen, do yourself a favour and take the funicular to explore views you have only seen on Travel channel.
