I stayed in this hotel to work remotely during the day and to go sightseeing in the evening and at night. (Two evenings and nights could be enough to discover the Bergen city centre as much as possible.) The location of the hotel is very good: Most of the landmarks of the city are within walking distance and for relatively far places such as Ulriken Cable Car or the airport, public transportation is hassle-free. The central train station is not far away and it's possible to walk from the hotel, but it's already an easy process to book a taxi from the hotel to the train station or any other place even in the very early morning. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The breakfast service was very good. My room was small but sufficient for a single guest. The room and the bathroom were clean enough. My bed was comfortable. Owing to the windows that could be fully opened it was possible to have decent air conditioning in the room. (Unfortunately I doubt the integrated A/C controllers on the wall were really working.) The shower gel, conditioner, and soap in the bathroom were of good quality. The housekeeper didn't make up my room, but most likely she skipped my room as I hung the "Do Not Disturb" card on the door during the day. Last but not least, there are many restaurants and several 7-Eleven stores around the hotel.

Cheaper than the hotels across Bryggen yet with all the transportation access. Only about 7 mins walk to the bus stop for the Bergen Flybussen bus, and the hotel provides the schedule clearly for the guests. Remember to buy the tickets only (at only 169 NOK) as compared to 220 NOK on the bus. It also took us 15 mins to walk from the train station and would be nearer for those taking the Light Rail. More importantly, the hotel is also within walking distance to Bryggen, historic fort, Christmas market and shopping streets in Bergen.

Excellent hotel with great service, staff was very nice and helpful! The location is golden, in the heart of the old city, with great views on the harbour. Our room was quiet, very comfortable and big. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with typical food and more continental options, and everything was well taken care of and tasty !

Great place, great location, just in the city centre,, nice stuff, delicious, fresh breakfasts, wide choice. Coffee, tea, water available all day. Cosy room with wonderful blanket😊 very warm and cosy inside the hotel.

Very nice hotel, close to the main train station. Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast served on time and there was plenty of choices for everybody. In the room was water heater and choice of tea and Nesscafe.

The staff was really very nice and helpful. The hotel is an old original building going back to the time when Bergen was a hanseatic town. It actually has a romantic atmosphere.

The old city is lovely.
The old city is lovely. Great places to eat and relax, so much to see.
Astonishing, the city closed down bybana - no announcements. No one knew anything, I had to walk all the way to the bus terminal. There I asked 5 bus drivers, none of them knew how I could get to where I wanted to go. Many people might have missed their flights.

Bergen is a charming city with spectacular views everywhere...
Bergen is a charming city with spectacular views everywhere you look. We did a historical walking tour which was excellent as well as an amazing 3.5 hour fjord cruise. We took the funicular up to the top of Mt Floyen and chose to take the lovely walk down. The city has great food and shopping. We lucked out with the weather - got drizzled on a little, but mostly nice.
