Surrounded by the Arctic wilderness, Snowhotel Kirkenes stands as a testament to innovation and adventure, offering an unforgettable experience year-round. The snow hotel is absolutely worth a visit. I had expected more like a very touristic and overrated place, but the room and the ice sculptures and the whole ice hotel was very-very impressive and almost magical! The stuff was very helpful during my whole stay, and the equipment (sleeping bag, balaclava, wollen socks) worked very well. The sauna is a highlight after a night in the cold, and the shower and bath room are very clean and nice. The breakfast was way better than at any other places in Norway with a large selection of delicious food and drink. I totally recommend to visit the hotel during the summer time, then you probably can have the whole place just for you or maybe with a couple of other guests.

Only 12 miles from Alta’s town center, along the Alta River, is where this special igloo hotel is located. Ice hotel is profoundly beautiful. Such a once in a lifetime experience. Warm enough overnight and hauntingly gorgeous as one of few guests in the ice hotel itself. Breakfast was delicious- tons of local items. Highly recommend.

This central Kirkenes hotel is on the shore of Bøkfjorden, 2953 feet from Hurtigruten Ferry Terminal. It offers free Wi-Fi and an à la carte restaurant with a seasonal menu. My check-in was at 15:00 but I arrived at 13:00 and I didn't have to wait, everything was ready. I had a very clean room with a breathtaking view, and it was also very calm. No annoying noice. It's so important to me.

This hotel is 492 feet from Dr. Wessels gate pedestrian street and 1.2 mi from the Hurtigruten Cruise Ship Terminal. It offers free WiFi and a relaxation department. We stayed only one night in Scandic Kirkenes in the beginning of November but it was super nice. We traveled with our dog and there wasn’t any problem to book a room here. There was a very pleasant receptionist who helped us a lot. We didn’t check all the facilities but it was a nice surprise to hear that they even have a swimming pool there. Also I’d like to mention a good and quiet breakfast in the Scandic restaurant. The location of hotel is perfect too - it’s right in the centre of the town I’d say so we have some time to walk around.

Located a 30-minute drive from Alta city center, between the arctic tundra and the arctic sea you will find Gargia Lodge, surrounded by nature. Best breakfast we've had on this trip. Wonderful staff. Close to the canyon. Great rooms.
