- From £130.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 47 reviewsThe lodge was a perfect setting for our stay, we fortunately had pretty awesome weather so could make good use of the lovely outdoor decks. Our apartment was clean and well set up. Fiona, our host, was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The lodge itself is just a short walk from Tryphena Bay, with an easy visit to the pub, cafe and local store.Guest review bySharonNew Zealand

It is a gem and it feels like the Island had everything when it comes to beautiful nature and surroundings. For a beach, sea and nature lover this is the place. The Island offers much to explore so plan for enough days. You definitely need a car.Guest review byEvaSweden - 10.0
A brilliant place to stay. Definitely a sanctuary.
A brilliant place to stay. Definitely a sanctuary. A paradise for writers, and being removed from the busy city life. Totally recommend this accommodation. Christine and Steve the Managers are friendly, accommodating. They were fantastic. Thank you. My choice of accommodation away from Tamaki Makaurau. Thank you Glenfern Management.Guest review byNerinaNew Zealand - 10.0
This place is beautiful, relaxing & very chilled.
This place is beautiful, relaxing & very chilled. Only a couple of cafes & very expensive. Shops (grocery type) not too badly priced but would recommend taking initial supplies with you. Petrol expensive as is to be expected. Roads narrow but in good condition & well maintained - even the metal ones.Guest review byJessieNew Zealand - 8.0

The Island, second biggest in Aotearoa New Zealand is like stepping back a few years but everyone has solar power , gas or generator. A beautiful island . . .sorry I can't write more. Booking. com . . please contact me . (I've tried to unsuccessfully to contact you. Why not??) I require a refund of $400. The only night spent at Eco Bungalows was barely worth $50 - so miserable were we there due to the coldness and the dim lighting. The cottage was gloomy. The hostess, was charming and helpful but the telephone number was not working, though I tried many times leading up to our stay.Guest review byAngelaNew Zealand
