The vibe. The place is like a heritage one. The stay was very comfortable. The owners are lovely, friendly and the whole stay was very smooth. The place is very calm and peaceful. Good breakfast was served. It is not a hotel with full services and facilities, but just perfect if you are there to relax and to tour the area of Lagos, Albufeira, Faro. We rented a car, and it was very convenient to tour and parking was perfect and easily accessible.

Beautiful hotel, everything has been thought out to the detail, amazingly located in Falésia, with pine trees all over and beach 2 min walk with direct access. Very attentive staff and food is simply delicious, breakfast and also dinner. The spa has this zen feeling and staff is super friendly. It was my 5th stay at this hotel and will surely come back again.

Highly recommend! A hotel with an ideal location – literally right on the beach. Plenty of great restaurants and many lovely cafés in the area. The breakfast was absolutely excellent and very diverse, offering outstanding quality. Rooms are large, very clean, and serviced daily, and also included a small kitchenette which was perfectly equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Tip: It's worth getting a higher floor (we got 6th floor)! We had a side ocean view from the terrace, and drinking coffee with that view was pure pleasure! The Staff is very kind and helpful. The price is affordable considering the excellent standard offered. We also used the parking, which was a great convenience. We will definitely be back here!

Absolutely loved Albufeira.

Absolutely loved Albufeira. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. I recommend Alfredo's for the best Italian food. Tasca for a good breakfast and you must definitely try the Portuguese dish Cataplana. Stunning beaches. We found everyone to be warm and welcoming.

We enjoyed staying in Lagos.

We enjoyed staying in Lagos. Although it is quite touristy, we also enjoyed our experience staying there, exploring the town with its beautiful streets and many stores, eating in very good restaurants, and taking a great boat trip (Bom Dia- highly recommend that. We also enjoyed exploring other towns - Burgau (tiny with a great beach) and Tavira (lovely town on the Gilao River).

The weather at this time of year was always warmer than predicted. We were in the pool numerous times. Visited museums and restaurants .Personally I loved the Octopus. Beautiful views of the cliffs all the way along Praia da Roche Promenade .

This property is in a quiet area called Vale do Telha NOT...

This property is in a quiet area called Vale do Telha NOT actually in Aljezur which is about 8 kms or 5 miles away. The actual town is very nice in the old parts with a busy main street then there is the completely separate new town about 1km from the old where the supermarket and other facilities are. The old town has the castle, narrow and steep cobbled streets and pathways which are great for exploring. The old town is pretty boring.

A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic.

A quiet and pretty small village that remains authentic. A great place for a short visit if you like to avoid the crowds or to look for accomodation if you plan to explore the gorgeous 'vicentina' coast, with car access to many great beaches. Most of these beaches are likely to be too 'wild' for most people, with difficult access, but they are perfect for the more adventurers and, again, for those who prefer to avoid the crowds. Plus, there are a few places in the village centre where you can enjoy a really tasteful light meal, of which I'd definitely reccommend the restaurants 'Ao Largo' and 'Casa Verde'.

Small relaxed village with lots of places to eat. Great base to explore the spectacular hikes along the coast - for that we found Benagil beach to be the best place to park and go for a hike or a boat tour.

Great winter get away spot. Lots of walks and easy to hire bikes.Fantastic 7km cycle path from Sagres to the lighthouse. The fort was worth a visit. Good supermarket and plenty of choices for eating out. Local people are so friendly

Alvor is an excellent resort with great restaurants,...

Alvor is an excellent resort with great restaurants, fabulous beaches with excellent boardwalks. We stayed in the Dunas de Alvor apartment complex. The accommodation was excellent we stayed in block A the room over look gardens we had a large balcony which had sun until 16.00 hours. The staff in reception where very professional and kind, the pool staff where excellent and provided sun beds cushions and umbrellas, while the complex could benefit from some upgrading , overall the accommodation was clean to a high standard , we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the accommodation, we will be back.

While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first.

While Vila do Bispo might be a bit boring at first. But you can use it to explore the surrounding countryside and beaches. Within one day you can see more rual locations, small forests in the hills and spectacular coastlines... Also more touristic cities are nearby. So you can have it all - the quiet and more peaceful base in Vila do Bispo, while still everything is in reach by bus or car... or even by foot. There are quite some nice walking tracks around the city. Enough to do for 3,4 or more days

Our visits to Armacao de Pera have been out of season so reasonably quiet, perfect for us. The beach is one of the longest in the Algarve plus a boardwalk which extends for miles. Excellent for those who want long walks. There are small more sheltered sections of beach immediately in front of the central area for sunbathers and swimmers. Wide selection of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of central accommodation. Large Lidl supermarket close to front with a large selection of smaller supermarkets and shops in the central area. Recently completed car park on beach front costs but convenient. Not as lively as some resorts and not to everyone's taste, but we like it.
