Really special place, old prison. Luckily kept in such condition that you can see&feel how it was as a prison. Don’t expect luxury, as you wouldn’t in a prison also.

As always Ronnums is a great place to stay. The team is so helpful and the restaurant one of the best we ever been to.

The hotel room was spacious so we had place for all our luggage. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of different options! There is a short walk to the lake where you can have a nice little walk. Is not far from the stores and stuff so also nice.

A lovely hotel. Good feel. So beautifully clean. Very novel to stay in a prison. Very nicely styled and the incorporation of the history was extremely well done. Bonus with having dinner and breakfast included. Both very good. Would recommend.

A very good value option for a one-night stay. While my room was windowless (I knew this when booking) it served its purpose very well, as all I needed was a place to sleep with little other time spent in the room. The inclusive breakfast was of very high quality. The location is great, right opposite the railway station and 5 minutes from the bus/coach station.

Very very good hotel. On breakfast you have opportunity to watch Ice hockey trainings. Or even have a breakfast with a team. Hotel was clean. Family room is big and enough space with 2 kids. Throw the window u have an amazing river view 🥰

The hotel was everything we wanted and more. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had all the necessary amenities. The view of the river and the old city of Karlstad from the room was amazing. There's a large parking lot in front of the hotel with free parking for the guests. The swimming pool and the saunas are in a great condition and really nice to visit after a long day. The breakfast is great - there's plenty of choices for food, all delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Totally can recommend to stay!

Spacious and comfortable rooms.

The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was really clean, both the rooms, reception and elevators. Nice surroundings outside, perfect for children.

Everything about the hotel was fabulous, I couldn’t find fault at all, so much so, I have booked again for next year, before left the hotel .

The hotel is located on a busy street in the center of Karlstad, the train station is a 7-minute walk, shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby, close to the park and museum. The rooms are neat, the room has everything for convenience. Yes, the shower and toilet are small and you need to get used to using them correctly, but this does not cause much inconvenience. The main thing is that the shower and toilet are clean and everything works well. The hotel has a pleasant common area for breakfast and lunch; free coffee, tea, and cookies. Since the hotel was not packed to capacity, the administrator even allowed to look at a couple of rooms on different sides and choose the one I liked (on one side the rooms overlook a busy street, on the other there is a view of the roof of a neighboring building).

We had a well appointed and spacious room that overlooked the main square. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The great breakfast and afternoon fika was a lovely touch
