It is still a vibrant colorful city with a lot of history. Food is great and its a shoppers paradise. However prices are on the increase particularly Restaurants. Alcohol prices are practically ridiculous. Public transport is very efficient and practical however once you start travelling around cost build up quickly. Nothing about this stay was good. The staff were unsupportive, unhelpful, and could not communicate in English, making even the simplest requests frustrating. There was no effort to assist guests or provide a pleasant experience. Bursa is not a quiet provincial town - it's a huge city with a lot of things to do and experience. However it's much less noisy than Istanbul. Go to Podium Park for the evening walk and a great choice of food. Go to the Mosque area for a walk and experiencing local culture. Arap Şükrü is very noisy and a bit of rip off, but still it's a good place to visit. In restaurants - always verify your check, don't hesitate to point out any "mistakes". Nature walks, a lot of nice places to enjoy the beautiful scenery of valleys and mountains, Sapancha is a very nice place to spend a couple of good long days with the family and kids or with your partner. We were in Sakarya last year and visited only the park with the airplane transformed into library and restaurant. Really nice place to visit, also we eat great pide there in the park restaurant. Unfortunately there is no time to visit more for just one afternoon, but I would suggest visiting Sakarya, as with any other Turkish city, there are many things to visit and see that you just do not expect by looking at the map or booking website.Guest review bybojanbojovicSerbia
