It’s clean and calm closer to the beach walking distance ,nice pool nice gym facilities they offer massage and other spa services as well. I loved their restaurants the most had a beautiful view

My husband and I came for a holiday to Zanzibar. We did not expect borscht in the restaurant, the service surprised us. The hotel is located in a quiet place, a beautiful garden. The hotel staff tried very hard to meet all our needs. Breakfast overlooking the ocean, something beautiful! A room facing the ocean directly, only 10 seconds to feel the sand like flour. The price is adequate for the standard of the hotel. We are glad that we chose Z-Lodge and not another commercial hotel. We will definitely return to Z-Lodge at the next opportunity when we are in Zanzibar again.

Very friendly and supportive/flexible if you need anything. Breakfast every morning was fresh and yummy. Also great recommendations for local food & tours

Mahali in Paje is a beautiful hotel. I can highly recommend it. What I love about this place is the fact, that they have sun beds at the beach and those bed are still on the property and not on the public beach! This prevents beach boys from harrazing you while sunbathing because they are not allowed to enter the hotel facility. This was my main reason to book this hotel. You cannot imagine how annoying those Beach Boys/(Fake)Masai are. They disturb you every 5 minutes and want to sell you a tour or souvenir or fruits or massage. Thanks to Mahali I had some peaceful days while lying in the sun. Besides that Mahali has a nice pool with further sun beds around. They also have a bar were you can buy reasonable priced drinks (they have food also but we just took drinks). In the lobby there is a water dispenser were you can free refill your water bottle. There is also coffee and tee available for free and cookies! The rooms are very spacious and very clean. Amazing ocean view from the balcony! Aircon and WiFi was working very good. They provide shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. Great! They have a good breakfast selection. You get a fruit juice and fruit plattern. Additionally you can have eggs (scrambled, fried, omlette), pancakes, toast slices, french toast and much more. The quality is standard, none special. Of course you also get coffee and tea.

Situated in Nungwi, 600 metres from Royal Beach, Daniel Zanzibar Hotel features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We spent 3 days at Daniel’s. We found the service outstanding, the room comfortable, it even had hot water, electricity and wifi!! I left a bag at the hotel by accident. They couriered it to me in Dar es Salaam, free of charge, that day so I could collect it before boarding the train to Zambia. Unbelievably kind. Can not thank them enough for both the stay and helping me out. 11/10

Situated within 200 metres of Stone Town Beach, Sharazad Wonders Boutique in Zanzibar City has a number of amenities including a garden, a terrace and a bar. Everyone was lovely and tried their best to make us feel comfortable. The food is very good, we really appreciated the breakfast! They also prepare very nice fruit juice!

BaraBara Eat&Sleep - Eco Boutique Hotel features free bikes, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Paje. Lovely staff, food, design. Very useful sunbeds on the beach and Mateo with his staff. We organised many excursions like dolphin, snorkeling with lunch on sandbank. The concept of eco hotel is very important and noticable in many parts of the hotel. Super!

The room was very spacious and super cozy, very clean and with a lot of attention to detail. Very close to the amazing beach of Pwani Mchangani. The staff is super friendly and available to support you during all your stay. Very recommended.
