The cabin was outstanding in every way possible. I mean, it exceeded all expectations. We were in the classic cottage, too, not one of the fancier ones. And it was FABULOUS. Hot tub with opening into the living room, great TV and sofa for lounge on and amazing bed. Access to the gym, which was amazing, right next to the lodge. It was one of my best hotel / resort experiences in my life. And I have been all over, in fancy ski resorts in Italy and Austria and this place (I know it’s not a ski resort but we were there in winter) was the best ever.

Easy and fast check in. Great location to walk downtown to shops, restaurants and Drake park. Ample on-site parking. Right in a corner with the ice machine close and fire pit just a few steps away. Staff was very welcoming and assertive. It was my mom's birthday and we were offered a lovely s'mores treat! Awesome to enjoy by the fire pit after soaking in the luxurious heated salt water pools. Everything we could need and want. Definitely will come back! Thanks for such an excellent stay!

Our stay was incredible value for the price. We arrived super early and they accommodated a very early check in with no hesitation (beyond ensuring they had a clean room). Not only that when they heard I had recently gotten married, they upgraded our room. The room itself had everything we needed and was clean and quiet. So happy we chose Sugar Loaf. Thank you.

Lots of outdoor things to do, like hiking, running, river...

Lots of outdoor things to do, like hiking, running, river stuff, and skiing in the winter. And there's usually some kind of local live music going on, with some bigger touring acts. Good restaurants downtown, and in other parts too. Good bookstores. Good place to walk around downtown. Try Mondo Pizza for a slice!

Redmond is a great place to visit and also close to Bend and Sisters, Oregon. Redmond and Bend have many places to hike and explore. Hiking and climbing at Smith Rock State Park is close by. We walked some of the parks in Bend, Oregon by the Deschutes River. Bend has may restaurants to try. Sisters, Oregon has an outdoor quilt show usually in July that wonderful to see! The next one is July 10, 2027. There is an inactive volcano you can go see, waterfalls south of Bend and more hiking trails.

Interesting, small tourist community.

Interesting, small tourist community. Lots of shops to look through and eating establishments. Basic needs can be acquired at local grocery, pharmacy and hardware stores. Exceptional, hiking opportunities for the fall with beautiful colors. Summer visitors can also enjoy surrounding lakes, although they are very cold. Winter activities are available for those who ski, sled, or simply like to play in the snow.

It is a gorgeous place!

It is a gorgeous place! So much to see and do surrounding the urban area. Traffic can be a mess, especially in downtown where the streets are narrow with parking on both sides. Just try to avoid those and it is fine. Good food and friendly folks. Malls and great shopping as well. Don't miss Sun River Resort just outside of Bend and beautiful (country, rodeo/western style) Sisters on Hwy 20 West of Bend! There is an amazing quilt shop in Sisters.

Redmond is great. Small town.

Redmond is great. Small town. All of the main attractions are on the same street. If possible, avoid the bypass; take a tour up and back on the main one-way street to see the majority of entertainment and and eateries. Close enough to Bend and a lot less traffic.

Great small town with a tourist feel.

Great small town with a tourist feel. The Hard Tails Saloon and Dive Bar is a great place to eat. It opens before any of the restaurants.Hike to the famous "Blue Pool Trail" is a 30 minute drive.

Way too many people crammed into small areas with no parking and very long traffic jams. A blind person could do a better job than the city does with their roads and traffic department! And watch out for stupid people who don't know how to use a crosswalk and just walk out into the road thinking everyone will stop for them.

Can't beat the price and the location next to Safeway and...

Can't beat the price and the location next to Safeway and across from Domino's which all have options that meet our dietary needs. I also appreciate the limited complimentary breakfast with coffee, bagels, oatmeal and lactose free yogurt. The kitchenette in my one bed room was a bonus I wasn't expecting! This location is in the middle of town and convenient to everything. Management is friendly and very attentive. The decor is dated but it is easily overlooked due to the value it provides. This is my second stay and will stay again! Thank you so much!

Great, quiet and fun town.

Great, quiet and fun town. Lots of history, perfect family friendly town to visit especially if you're needing to get away from the cities. Lots of nature within a few minutes drive! I would definitely come visit again and stay longer.
