The pool was not heated to 85°, but we weren't in it anyway. I just spoke to other guests. I really appreciated warm breakfast every day & the popcorn & cookies at 5! I'm so tired due to the time change between our central time & your eastern time, but the beds are very comfortable & I slept well. They are almost too tall, but I managed. Very happy with the big TV. Usually hotels don't have big enough TVs. Happy for housekeeping every day. Other than that, I was very pleased with our stay! St. Augustine is a great place to visit & Ocean Sands Beachfront Inn is a great place to stay while visiting. Reading other reviews, I find it extremely difficult to understand the great stays from the awful stays. Obviously, someone is lying about their experience. We have lived in SC for 44 years and had never been to St. Augustine, FL so we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. We chose to go in September which is the "slow" part of the year but it gave us plenty of time to enjoy the city. We took the shuttle from Southern Oaks Inn to the historical district most days. We walked, we shopped, and we enjoyed time being together. We took the "Hop On - Hop Off" shuttle once we were in the historical district. The drivers were knowledgeable and entertaining. We toured the Castillo de San Marcos Fortress, Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, and a sunset cruise on the Black Raven. Very enjoyable trip!Guest review byDeboraUnited States - 10.0

As a native Floridian, I almost feel embarrassed to admit that his was my first trip to St. Augustine. But wow! What a great experience! The town isn't large, per se, but it is densely packed with history. We cut our visit short by one day, but we left too early to be finished with our exploration of the city.
