Charleston was great alot of things to visit.
Charleston was great alot of things to visit. Next time I visit I will stay longer. Capitol Street was great to have lunch at. Pies and Pints is great and also great place to walk around. The WV State Capitol is awesome the architecture inside and out is amazing. The WV State Museum is very interesting and make sure you allow enough time to see everything. It is a must see. There are parking meters and make sure you put enough in for at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I put in for 2 hours but over parked for 20 minutes and got a ticket for $5 but worth it. The Clay Center was also nice place to take kids.Guest review byROCKYUnited States - 6.0
The room was clean and in good condition.
The room was clean and in good condition. Albeit I personally have issues with the facility not applying earned discounts as expected, for most travelers this would not be an issue. As with most "free breakfasts" provided in motels, personally I would recommend going elsewhere for breakfast, time permitting.Guest review byRandy - 8.0
What I liked most:
What I liked most: Plenty of good hotels, food options, and shopping experiences. The New River Gorge Visitor Center was great. A walk around Little Beaver State Park was also great. What wasn't so great: The New River Gorge Visitor Center was great, but I found the rest of the spots on their park map to be difficult, if not impossible, to find. Marquee Cinemas, Galleria 14, Beckley, WV was OK, The movies are current but what bothered me was the ticket purchase process for new visitors. All the ticket purchasing areas were "closed". Somehow, we were supposed to figure out that we could buy movie tickets at the concession stand, which is something that I've never heard of or experienced before. Dunloup Falls was impressive but we arrived there (after a long drive through the countryside) to find some locals fishing in the pool where I wanted to swim. I didn't feel comfortable asking them to stop the fishing.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States - 8.0
Perfect stopover place.
Perfect stopover place. Enroute from Myrtle Beach to Ontario we travelled for 10 hours and arrived at 6pm just before dark. A great find staying at the Microtel Inn and Suites! Close to I 79 this place was perfect! Clean, modern, had a decent breakfast. Walking distance to several restaurants. We trie Meaghers Irish pub and the food was excellent and prices very reasonable. Will stay here again!Guest review byGeoff - 10.0

Summersville Lake is the best lake Ive ever been to, so clean and big. Is easy to navigate, lots of coves to float in. I felt safe the whole time, is boat police present. we have spent two trips there this summer. I actually thought about skipping my beach trip and going to Summersville Lake. Hotels in the area are affordable, hope it stays that way. We bought a new 14 ft Jon boat this year. It only has a 9.9 hp but does fine on the lake. We are getting a bigger motor next year for Summersville. A great placeGuest review byMARGARETUnited States - 10.0

The Hotel staff was friendly, the size of the room is big enough for me and my husband. The hotel room was clean. We did not go to the pool which I wished we had time. The breakfast was good although we did not have a big breakfast. We watched the other guests with family enjoy their waffles and such. The location was very convenient to stores. Overall it was a great experience staying at this hotelGuest review byAngelaUnited States - 4.0
This was just a quick stop for the night on the way back...
This was just a quick stop for the night on the way back from a trip to Western MD. Have been to Charles Town before and it was nice but this trip not so much. Tons of ugly townhouses and apartments have been erected since we were there last. Strip malls galore. Went to the casino to see what it was like post-pandemic, which was a terrible experience. In disarray (not sure what they are doing, construction?). Incredibly loud, no place to eat in mid-week. Still have smoking which gave us headaches combined with the music. It's an election year so were bombarded with signs about "Save Our Guns, Liberty" and other right-wing propaganda. Couldn't wait to leave.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

I’m reference to Quality Inn response to my first review… We did ask at the front desk and we were told that pillows and blankets were not available. I asked the gentleman to please check and his response was “I don’t need to, I know we don’t have anymore to give” Our room was over 80degrees when we arrived. Maintenance said the air wouldn’t come on because it was to old. I tried to open the windows and couldn’t because they were bolted shut 🤦🏻♀️Guest review bykim
