The outdoor pool and large dining area was relaxing and fun to watch the water and cruise ship activity. The location was excellent near shopping/dining. The fitness center was amazing - so much equipment, well done. We also used the laundry room.

It’s on a hill but surprisingly walkable to nearby restaurants and to the Main Street. The pool is lovely. We had been camping on St John and were able to use the laundry machine at the hotel to reset and not carry around damp beach stuff.

Beautiful hotel. Our oceanfront rooms were just a few steps from the beach. The pool area was lovely. Quiet and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice to use Westin facilities but much preferred staying at Buoy Haus. Would highly recommend staying there.

Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown).

Clean little sea side town (I stayed downtown). Great vendors in market, green bay restaurant and 578 had hot meals with 4/5 taste for me. Safari bus ($2) good easy to get around if you want to see city and go to some local places, pick up a map in the tourist welcome center downtown. Better yet ask a local. Everyone I met was friendly and willing to answer questions/give directions. Take the safari bus to Red hook, catch the ferry ($9.15 with tax) and see St john island. State park there with beautiful beach, local raci needed to access it though.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Walking distance. You really don't even hear the planes takeoff. The hotel is older so don't expect the grays and golds that are in right now. More grandma's house style. The staff is great. The pool is small but has a great view. The bar area also has a restaurant. The price is affordable and you could not even have to leave.

That place has some nice waterfeont areas, good shopping and entertainment options. The food is so pricey and poor service in some continental restaurants makes it awful. Rude people are quiet common. The place is in decline. Better travel to Europe or Asia where hospitality has a different meaning.

Location is not good during seaweed months.

Location is not good during seaweed months. Beach on property is unusable. Coki Beach was not as described in reviews. Resort was fine. Loved the upper pool, view was fabulous. A few nights is more than enough. Taxi rides get expensive if you go off property to eat.

The ease of getting around with GPS was wonderful.

The ease of getting around with GPS was wonderful. The places to eat were less than 2 minutes away. The view from the beach front property was breathtaking. Everyday we were in the ocean. We went to many beaches and found a grocery store to get snacks. We loved the friendliness of all the people we encountered. Views were phenomenal and each day the view was new and exciting. Whether it was cloudy or sunny the water was warm and inviting. Souvenir were reasonable. Our favorite places to eat were Tap and Still Bar and Grill and Cravin’ Crab. Sunfari Tours gave us a private tour of St. Thomas and St. John, we went snorkeling and visited Mountain Top, and many beaches and visited the ruins. We got history and lots of information about every place we saw. They were so friendly and knowledgeable and so friendly and are now new friends. While on that trip, we met an excellent crew in the Ocean Safari trip that took us snorkeling. They were so helpful and caring. The Captain was from our hometown. Coral World was fantastic! We swam with the dolphins and sea lions . The staff were so upbeat and excited. Loved the energy. They paid attention to our needs and our abilities. It was a fantastic experience.! I would not go through Budget Rental car if you can avoid it. We stood in line for 3 hours without exaggeration, the desk staff at the airport didn’t communicate to any of us standing in line ( without places to sit), we all had reservations, and they acted like no of us had them. They kept adding charges that we couldn’t have avoided and didn’t know about. They didn’t tell us where to pick up the car, or drop it off. We asked if someone would bring our car but they didn’t and 3 guys all over the age of 60 had to walk up a flight of stairs and walked 3 blocks just to get the cars. Exhausted and confused, we were very concerned they were going to run out of vehicles. Our legs hurt so bad we could barely walk.

The hotel was close to the cruise port.

The hotel was close to the cruise port. It was a bueatiful backdrop. I was there for a short period, I just wanted to go somewhere different and I accomplished my goal. I was there by myself and felt safe. I caught several taxis, when to call a taxis, your taxis has people going other people going in the direction you are, and it’s per person. They’re not a lot of places to park. The streets are very busy.

The beach was super clean and the water was fabulous! Right in front of our hotel balcony! Would definitely return again. This was second trip to emerald beach. Walked the whole beach many times- pure relaxation! Preferred staying at resort with all the water sports offered them venturing into busy downtown

The beach is a short patch of dirty sand loaded with seaweed. must use shuttle service to get around premises. . no shops or entertainment on property. Nothing in walking distance... plan on taxi service to come and go off property... bring plenty of cash. Food is below average.
