- From $124.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 500 reviewsStacey warmly welcomed me to Upper House. I booked months in advance in anticipation of the Clarens Arts Festival. It was a fantastic location and beautifully decorated room. The breakfast was scrumptious and changed daily. Plenty of hot water for showering. The TV had all of the DSTV channels. Mini-fridge available in the room as well. There was a space heater and electric blankets to keep warm with at night. Stacey and the staff were so helpful in directing me to Clarens from my start location and helped transport me to the correct location on the road for taxis on my way out of town heading towards Lesotho. She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed and ensured I enjoyed my stay. Would absolutely stay again, Clarens is worth revisiting!Guest review byAngelaLesotho

A place away from the hustle bustle of a city, take your food as there aren’t any eating places during weekend. Beautiful time with family and board games. Wish we could stay longer. Will go back again… Overall pleasant stayGuest review byKjamesdSouth Africa - 10.0

Bethlehem is a small town.
Bethlehem is a small town. It is not far from CLARENS and GOLDEN GATE. You can drive to these two places in less than an our. We spent the whole day in CLARENS and bought some few items. We had our lunch there and walked around without fear of being mugged. There is a very good security; there was a security company patrolling around.Guest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10.0
Wasn't fully prepared for the cold.
Wasn't fully prepared for the cold. Thankfully the pubs and restaurants had fabulous wood burning fires. People of Clarens, shop and restaurant owners, are so warm and friendly. A variety of activities from shopping to hiking or just enjoying a cold one in the pub. The new dinasaur exhibition centre, unveiling the rich history of Clarens, is a must.Guest review byDeborahSouth Africa
