- From $107.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 147 reviewsThe warm welcome from Peter and Sari upon my arrival. Peter was waiting for me at the airport and when I arrived at the guesthouse Sari welcomed me with open arms. This is a lovely guesthouse. I arrived late in the evening and when Sari showed me to my room, my first impression was it was quite charming and then I realized how large the suite was. Very clean, lovely decor and a lot of small touches made the stay even better, from complementary water, coffee, tea and a fridge full of goodies from water to soft drinks to snacks. The property has a lovely garden area with pool. A continental breakfast or full breakfast is available as well.Guest review byColleenUnited States
- From $99.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 999 reviewsThe hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The room was huge, well decorated and had a lovely big bath tub. The staff were absolutely incredible. I unfortunately didn't get either of their names but the ladies at the front desk were so helpful, polite and made our day. They helped us out when our flight was delayed. We got some complimentary wine with the room and generally had a lovely experience. The restaurants were also really good. Would 1000% recommend a stay here.Guest review byLaurenBaddeleyUnited Arab Emirates

I wouldn't recommend staying over, it seems "anything goes" it feels like the stds have dropped dramatically and as a guest you should just accept it .... no sleep because of noise from other people booked in either side of our room. Very disappointed.Guest review byHurnSouth Africa - 10.0

Nestled in winelands, with pictureqsqe mountain backdrops - this is small town grown big yet retains the heart of civility. There's something for everyone - outdoors lovers, shops, Lindt chocolate sotres - and a lot of great restaurants such as Jean to choose from. It's conveniently located to Stellenbosch and on the wine route, within an hour of Cape Town airport, and arguably has the best cardiologist and some of the best medical facilities in South Africa. Downside - the accomodation is not nearly as good as the internet and Bookings.com photo's suggest. Don't trust the ***** star ratings - complete BS, unverified.Guest review byMikeSouth Africa - 10.0

More food specials especially durong week and not only weekends. Food was delicious and would definitely eat there again (special or not) Please, and I have been askong it for years., get like shadecloth for guests staying at hotel. If I had to stay for a week or more, the sun would have burnt my car and probably cracked a window or dashboard.. I stayednthere before and always requested thisGuest review byDawoodSouth Africa - 10.0
Brackenfell is a really great place that caters for all your...
Brackenfell is a really great place that caters for all your possible needs. The best private armed response and emergency medical team - Titanium Securitas - is on your doorstep. There are plenty of doctor's rooms, medical facilities, top notch schools, plenty of pubs and restaurants all around and you're situated at the beginning of the Cape Winelands. Getting around is a breeze using your Uber app. Brackenfell and its surrounding areas offer entertainment which includes Haasendal Wine Estate, offering everything from picnic baskets, to wine tasting, jazz evenings, a 2-hour Sensory Experience in the Wine Library, where each wine is paired with delectable micro-plates of food courtesy of chef Michélle Theron. Let me not forget to mention the driving, the new luxurious hotel and spa and art gallery. Wine and MCC tasting as well as a Game Drive at Villiera Wines. The beautiful hidden French style Casa Mori Guest House, boasting their own vineyards, wine making, olive oil and homemade pasta. Enjoy some wine at the fireplace and take in the rich history of this farm and its family. I could go on and on. There is really something for everyone. Personal favourites are Bellevue Wine Estate with their fantastic MCC and one of a kind Kukumakranka Gin. Meerendal Wine Estate for their Bossa Restaurant and park runs. Koelenhof Wines for the great wine and mouthwatering rooster koek made fresh over the fire and let's not forget the best organic wine from Reyneke Wines. Plenty of child friendly and even pet friendly venues all around. Come to Brackenfell!Guest review byAleciaSouth Africa - 10.0

It’s close to the airport And the city And for generally getting about It’s a very personal experience They really care about you and your welfare It was like a home from Home experience It’s ridiculously good value for the money You just check in if you needed dinner They have taxi folk ready to assist you The owners and family are really fun to be around There was a brilliant live music evening fab musician and vocalist and great dancing And their friends be-friended me and took me places I’m not sure I would have experienced for myself Menu varied and brilliant value It’s a really fun eclectic place full of intrigue and characterGuest review bymichaelUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Although there was ADT in the vicinity, South Africa in general is not safe and tourist must be aware of that. The crime is high. Among our friends, family etc. there no one who was not a victim of a crime.Guest review byRalfUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The outside view of the rooms is not appealing.
The outside view of the rooms is not appealing. The moment I landed at the place, before i could walk inside the property, I felt like I made a mistake. But one you enter the house, you feel like you are somewhere different from the outside place.Guest review byMosibudiSouth Africa - 10.0

This is not the first time we have spent time at this lodge and will always come back as the Hotel is always neat and friendly staff . Breakfast and dinners are outstanding and the fact that they are close to the Grand West Casino makes it so much more attractive. My wife and i enjoy the theatre shows and staying over instead of driving home late at night makes it worth our while. Will be back soon again.Guest review bySamuel EricSouth Africa - 8.0
