- Caster and Buhle were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and looked after during my stay
- I ended up staying ten days and had booked a room with separate lounge area which was a winner. Suggest that option for longer stays.
- Fire in my room during turndown service
- The food was fantastic
- I loved the views and time on the deck with a cup of coffee was just what the dr ordered
- Tumi, the cat was adorable
- The housekeepers are thorough and they even put my pjs in my bed so electric blanket would warm them!
- Spa treatments with Buhle was relaxing and highlight of my afternoon
- The owner (Mouse) took some time to catch up and listened to my feedback
- Amen, the gardener was so friendly and always made time for a hello and chat.

The property was beautiful. We loved the view of the waterfall, and if you ask the host, they will tell you how to hike down to it. We saw wildlife and tons of birds. It was quiet and we felt very safe and as a special bonus of the floors were heated. Wonderful especially in winter.

This is a quaint small town village in the Natal midlands.
This is a quaint small town village in the Natal midlands. There are farmer's supply stores, amazing homesteads, a variety of schools, and with proximity to the Drakensburg resorts, and good springboard into the mountains.

Beautiful little coffee shops - craft and arty places abound along the Midlands Meander. The town is clean with a new Checkers Center which is a boon.
Lovely restaurants and a wonderful English-farmy feel throughout.
The Falls are an obvious attraction too!

We loved the hotel — the style and interior are beautiful, and the lounge, restaurant, bar, and reception all have a lovely, welcoming ambience.
Unfortunately, our experience was let down by a few maintenance issues, namely faulty air conditioners and cracked bathroom sinks. There was also significant noise within the hotel throughout the night. While we appreciate that we stayed over New Year’s Eve, we feel that reception and security should enforce reasonable time limits to manage rowdy guests and ensure all patrons can rest comfortably.

Beautiful part of the country.
Beautiful part of the country. Short drive to Nottingham Road, Spar, petrol station. It rained while we were there so we didn't get a chance to walk around. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. We missed the TV but there is one in the lounge by reception

The various accommodation options make it perfect for couples and families.
Huge grounds allow you to get away for some peace and quiet if you want, but we did not feel overwhelmed by people and the place was full.
You can either go and feed carrots to the horses or take a short drive to one of the many attractions in the area.

The room was clean pool was green and dirty breakfast was good but the staff ignored me at dinner only attended to white people I stayed for 30 min until I left 🚮Shout out to the guy at the office helped me with printing a document. I was in room 1 and there is no network and no wifi

We didnt leave the lodge, there was a restaurant and bar available till 21:00. There is a lot of things to do where we stayed. The town itself seems to be old and not in the greatest condition. The road have a lot of bad spots.

The unit has access to a garden and a terrace to enjoy. It is also equipped with a mini braai stand. There are other bigger units in the area which can accommodate more people. The internet connectivity is strong. Piggly Wiggly is about 20 km away. It offers a selection of shops and restaurants with great entertainment for kids.
