My cousin's young family came to stay with us in HK for a week. After taking them around to Disneyland, Ocean Park and other different popular spots in town, we began to struggle coming up with things to do that'll please the kids. A friend recommended coming up to Mission Hills for a couple of days. Their family came here just over Easter and had a blast. Our two families decided to take the plunge and went with that idea. The hotel was more the resort type and surrounded in lots of greenery, which is a welcomed change to our typical city hotels. Check-in was efficient and staff were polite and patient as we spent quite a bit of time asking about the different activities over there. The resort had a fun swimming pool right outside of our rooms, which was very popular with the kids. We had Chinese dim sum for lunch at the resort, which was pleasantly tasty. The main part of the trip then started at MH Mall, which was nearby. The kids went crazy learning all the different things they can do there from the hotel manager, from ice skating, bouncy gym, bowling, horseback riding, arcade games and claw machines... the kids settled for bouncy gym and arcade games for the afternoon. They had an amazing time and left wanting to do more the next day. We had a quick Vietnamese dinner and a huge mango shaved ice to share for desert. There was a supermarket downstairs that had a lot of imported goods that the kids are accustomed to. We bought some snacks and drinks for our movie night back at the hotel (there was actually a big cinema at the mall too but the kids were a bit tired and wanted to just watch a movie at the hotel). The kids woke up early and dipped in the pool again but they were really just killing time before heading over the a nearby sports park for some indoor skiing. The place was new and clean. We got fitted with the outfits, boots and snowboards and off we went. None of us have snowboarded before and we had a coach to get us started.
