The staff is very kind and helpful. The food at the two restaurant are very nice. Don't miss the Salmon at Kota restaurant. Beautiful scenery. We had a cottage king cabin, very nice. Mrs Teija at the Aitta restaurant makes you feel as part of the family. Excellent hospitallity by Mrs. Teija.

Set by Lake Kilpisjärvi off the E8 motorway, this resort is within 7 km of the Swedish and Norwegian borders. It offers cottages and apartments with private saunas, full kitchens and free Wi-Fi.

A sofa, TV and dishwasher are standard at Tundrea Holiday Resort. Cottages also include balconies and fireplaces. In-room breakfasts can be ordered on site. Location was perfect. Holy mountain Saana on the one side, beautiful Kilpisjärvi lake on the other side, several reindeer strolling around. The accommodation had all the necessary things for a pleasant stay. Great location for daily hikes around. Even the Norwegian fjords are a mere half-hour car ride away. Kilpisjärvi is my favourite area in Finland so far - highly recommended for all hiking and nature enthusiasts.

All units are equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a bidet, free toiletries and a wardrobe. The private bathroom is equipped with a shower and a hairdryer. Guest rooms at the resort come with a seating area. Breakfast was perfect and good variety.

Set in Pyhätunturi, 18 km from Amethyst Mine, Kurula's Resort offers accommodation with a private beach area, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Breakfast was amazing with many options, the smoothies tasted so good. The location little bit hard to find, they should put some sign in the front of the resort. But overall our stay was amazing, the staff was friendly.

Boasting a bar and free WiFi, Aurora Queen Resort Igloos is situated in Saariselka. Featuring a fitness centre, this 4-star resort has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. There is a restaurant serving local cuisine, and free private parking is available. We felt very welcome from the moment we walked into the main building. The owners were great hosts. We ate at the restaurant on site both nights and our meals were exceptional. The igloos surpassed our expectations. Elegant and cosy. We were lucky to see the northern lights laying in bed!

Ranua Resort Arctic Igloos features igloo accommodation in Ranua, with impressive views of the Finnish Lapland sky and the neighbouring Lake Ranuanjärvi. Each igloo has a private sauna, kitchenette and bathroom. This is probably, the nicest, most unique stay that I have ever had. The setting of the igloos is breathtaking, the actual igloos are so comfortable and well appointed. There is nothing to describe lying in a cosy bed looking at the stars, or opening your eyes to an orange glow across a frosty lake. Breakfast was brilliant, so much choice, although I did discover that seems to be standard in Finland. It is a beautiful, peaceful and calming environment. Oh and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble.

Aurora Village Ivalo is situated in Ivalo and offers cabins with a glass roof, offering the possibility to spot the Northern Lights from the bed. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a tour desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can have a cocktail at the bar.

Saariselkä is 34 km from Aurora Village Ivalo, while Inari is 41 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ivalo Airport, 13 km from the resort. Its location and the cabins / chalets are so comfortable. The meals - particularly the gourmet dinner’s are awesomely delicious!

The glass-roofed cabins offer the possibility to see the Northern Lights from your own cabin. A minibar, electric kettle and private bathroom with shower are standard in each cabin. Everything was perfect. While the room temperature in other hotels we stayed in in Lapland was fixed at 20 degrees, here we were able to adjust it as we wanted. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. When you enter the hotel, you can arrange all the activities with the help of the staff. Seeing the northern lights was amazing!!! It was very enjoyable and easy to walk from the bungalows to the restaurant, to the deers and the huskies.

Oil, salt, coffee, utensils, pots and pans are all abundantly present. - True Finnish sauna in a separate cubicle attached to the house. Wood fireplace in the house. Wood is provided for the whole stay.
