Secluded, far from the city. We were a bit worried it is far from city center but ended up staying on the property for whole 3 days without leaving at all. Amazing room, private empty beach. Building is beautiful, spacious and very well designed. Your eyes will be resting wherever you look. Staff is super attentive and takes care of anything sometimes before you know you want it. The food is delicious, pricy compared to Sri Lanka but definitely worth the value. Mutton biriyani was out of this world. We were in a low season and there was only 6-10 guests in the hotel. Altogether about 15 rooms on the property. Wake up early to catch the sunrise! Worth every rupee

Nilaveli Beach Resort is set on the bronzed sands of Nilaveli Beach. This tranquil resort welcomes guests with a private beach area, cosy guestrooms and free internet access at all public areas. Perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday at the beach. Beautiful, large, comfortable, and well equipped rooms, excellent service on all departments, beautiful beach, very good restaurant with varied menu. For breakfast (we always took Sri Lankan) and were offered different dishes for each of the three days we spent there. You are out of town and therefore will need transportation to go anywhere. This can be easily arranged through the hotel (that has also a private tuk-tuk), but honestly, apart from a lovely three hours tour of Trincomalee city, the only thing we really wanted was to enjoy the peace and beauty of the resort. Even with heavy rain it was wonderful to sit in the room's veranda. Tip: if you are an early riser you can watch the local fishermen in the process of retrieving the nets with the catch. Fascinating!

It is only about 50 meters from the beach, making it very convenient for guests who love the sea. The rooms are comfortable with cozy beds, and the overall stay feels very safe and calm. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel offers a beautiful swimming pool, a nice rooftop area, and a shared Western kitchen, which is perfect for long stays. The price is very reasonable for the quality and facilities provided. Overall, Pearl Diamond Resort is a very beautiful, safe, and peaceful place to stay. Highly recommended for families, couples, and tourists looking for comfort and value.

The highlight was the friendliness of the staff. They were very kind and made sure we had a comfortable stay. The location is close to a very nice, uncrowded beach. We had both dinner and breakfast at the resort, and they were excellent. Our families really enjoyed the stay.

It was exactly what I expected and exactly what I wanted, something unique and different. A tropical beach garden vibe. There are only 5 units and so it was quiet. An older property that has been carefully renovated. The common area has a "beachcomber" feel, funky in a good way, with lots of plants and palms everywhere. Each unit has a covered terrace with chairs and a low table and is surrounded in greenery. I really liked the fact that the rooms are quirky and fun and refreshingly different from most accommodation. Only 1 small window in each unit but Elena has cleverly got around this by painting the walls bright white with colourful murals and linens and excellent lighting which made the whole room light and bright and full of colour. New floor tiles. The room had this unique fresh feel. There was ample furniture in the room to put things on. Fresh linens and plenty of towels. Strong fan and good A/C. The big bathroom had been modernised, and had both a cool shower and a hot shower with instant hot water and good water pressure. There was a small unit of shelves to put bathroom things on. Very clean. There is a small above ground plunge pool but it wasn't operating when I was there. But that doesn't matter at all as the ocean is only a stone's throw away. Plenty of parking for my motorbike. The property is safe & secure. Excellent location as it's a very short stroll to Upuvelli beach which is a wide beach with clean sand and a few cafes and restaurants. The beach slopes gently into the water, stays shallow for a little distance, and only had low waves which makes it ideal for families to swim in. Elena is very helpful and arranged snorkeling and an exceptional Ayurvedic massage, both at a discount. The property is quiet. I found the other guests friendly and Elena has created a happy, social place. No parties, no karaoke and so you can really relax here. It is an excellent price considering its proximity to the beach.

Place was very clean and neat. Staffs was very friendly and helpfull. They full filled our requirements without hesitation.And food was tasty and good. They gave pool access for unlimitedly. All over peacefull and nice place to stay. We will come again for sure.

Located near Trincomalee in Salli-Sampaltivu, 108 Palms Beach Resort offers accommodation on the private beach. 108 Palms is an absolute gem. I had booked elsewhere but the government visit in Trincomalee precluded staying closer. And I am so glad it did! Greeted at the gate, low key administrative requirements. Super attentive staff. The restaurant served delicious meals with smiles. The pool is delightful-Just right for relaxing near the amenities. And then a short stroll (150 meters) to the beach. The sand is clean and easy to walk on. The water was photo blue - straight from a postcard. My first 2 days the wind blew and there waves were breaking fairly close to shore. The last days - nearly calm. And the beach in both directions was nearly abandoned. A few fishermen going about their business. A few teens walking along from one place to another. That was it. Distance to town - about 15 minutes in car/tuk tuk. But other than for business reasons, I did not bother. When the bells ring during the day it is the Hindu temple just south of the resort - take the time to visit. It is an artistic wonder, so close to the saltwater yet so colorful. What a wonderful relaxing place to stay!! I hope to have a repeat visit. PS I did go scuba diving while in Trincomalee and highly recommend Epic Ocean Adventure, located in the commercial part of the town, 15 minutes from 108 Palms Resort.
