I wish the furniture was newer, carpet newer, lifts smelling nice, wooden floor on the rooftop decent, no stairs on rugs....place is just falling apart especially for that price!

The hotel is just very old and the price for outdated, repaired furniture and smelly lifts and corridors is just obscene. This was a rip off. Staff was helpful and professional and kind. Structure itself just bad bad bad

The noise! I was in room 527 & was told I’d been “upgraded”. It was so noisy I couldn’t sleep. Horns, music, engines revving, yelling. Carried on until 2 am

- Wifi signal was very weak on my corner room (325) and connection kept breaking. Also, speed was very slow. Enough for simple operations but too bad for streaming or videos. They promised a technic would go to check, but never did. - When I did the reservations many months in advance I asked for a front view room, but I was provided a side view, corner room. I asked for a change, which was promised for the next day, but it didn't happen. Then it was promised again for the next day and didn't happen again, so I ended up staying all the days in the corner room. I have stayed in this hotel on all my trips to BsAs for the last 16 years and this was the first time that the service wasn't perfect. But still, I will return to this hotel on my next trips.

Before I checked out the prior week I requested the same room. Reception confirmed this was available and that it was okay and had changed it in their system. However, when I arrived I was given a different room. This was much noisier and had no writing desk unlike the one the prior week. This was particularly annoying as I was on business and had to work two of the evenings. Reception didn't even put me in a room close to my previous one and offered no explanation which was disappointing to say the least.

Room was good but definitely down on the one I had the first week. The room was good and I liked the bar area feature. Breakfast is very good. Location not bad being near the water and in what appears to be an expensive part of town.

Very nice property with good facilities. The only drawback is that you need to get a taxi into and back from town.

Hotel needs a lot of work, shows it’s years. The windows are in quite bad shape, don’t close properly, are very thin and provide minimal noise reduction. Hotel general areas are ok, but could use some work.

No natural (unsweetened) yoghurt for breakfast. Difficult to communicate in English with waiters at breakfast.

The service was terrible. We asked reception to book us a taxi to the airport, explicitly stated which one, and they told the taxi company the wrong airport and we almost missed our flight. We also asked reception to book a restaurant that we had painstakingly researched and selected for my dad’s birthday and they never did it. We couldn’t go to it and had to go somewhere else random. They let us down a third time when they told us the tango was at 8 PM, but it was actually at 9:30 PM so we waited an hour and a half in the lobby freaking out that the driver hadn’t come to get us yet, with the receptionist just telling us he was on the way. The service at the bar was also abysmal - waited ages for a drink and food and the staff just did not care.

wait time for check in was too long . employee had difficulty to talk English even receptionists , except the guy was concierge (Sebastian ). between my room balcony door and frame was a big gap which wind and noise came from outside to the room, I complained but they didn’t respond.

The room itself, however, had problems with the window, missing switches on the thermostat, a large stain on the carpet and a lamp that did not work. They were unable to switch me to another room.

It has a great breakfast offering, is in a good location, and mostly helpful staff.

However, some aspect to be improved: bathrooms need urgent renovation. They are as old as the hotel and have never been updated. They look old and not nice. Regarding breakfast, I understand there are exceptional measures due to covid, but offering dry bread, toasted hours before and serve it as toasts, does not really match the 5 stars rating of this hotel.

I love this hotel: the staff is amazingly polite, especially Juan Manuel at Reception and Jessica at breakfast. The common areas are beautiful and I like Puerto madero location.
