We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThe staff were not very friendly; I didn't see one smile from any of the three reception staff when I arrived, and when I checked in a few hours later. The woman who did check me in looked unhappy and when I inquired if she was okay she said said it was a long day and she didn't feel so good. Checking in was not a welcoming experience. The shower in the bathroom was not clean. Being conscious of the environment I hung up my towels so they wouldn't be replaced - as suggested by the notice in the bathroom - but the towels were replaced anyway. What is the point of pretending to be helping the environment when you don't follow your own recommendations?

AustraliaThe pillows are very uncomfortable. You’re only supplied with one and they’re so soft it becomes almost nonexistent once you lie down. We had to ask for another at reception as extras are not stored in the room and it’s not an option on the “room service” menu.
The location is exceptional if you’re travelling for the football.

Australianot really the hotels issue but it was very noisy outside the room. I ended up having to take a doona of the extra bed and put in front of the door because the people outside were talking very loud and their children were running up and down the hall. I also booked a king room and on arrival told that I was given an upgrade to King and a single but when we got to the room it was just three single beds.

AustraliaThere wasn’t much that we didn’t like at the hotel, the milk was very limited in our fridge and teabags were also very sparse but no dramas, we went and bought our own. There was also no foxtel in the room but my husband was able to load into the tv.
The location was perfect for us. We came down for the AFL games and Marvel is right around the corner and the bus station is super close. The room was comfortable for what we needed. Breakfast was nice and is always good to start your day. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
