Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe breakfast is fine, but a lot of people and not enough room for everyone. Come early!
There is a lot of construction in the city, part of it close to the hotel. A little bit far from the metro.

United States of AmericaThe front desk mistakenly gave us just one room though I have shown to him the paper with 2 rooms confirmation for our 2 family.
The room meet our expectations and breakfast provided.

CanadaThe price is very expensive one night for $600 for two queen beds partly my fault for booking the night before July 1st, the other nights are $400+ a night. Breakfast is ok, but if you stayed for more than 2 days, you get bored with the choices
Facility is clean and the staff are attentive. Room is cleaned everyday, fresh towels and coffee refilled everyday

United States of AmericaThe room had a bad smell like humidity or maybe it was the carpet. The hall or corridors smelled good
Overall the breakfast was good. The size of the room was comfortable. Loved the amenities of the bathroom and its cleanliness

United States of AmericaThe price of the room was a little pricey and over the expected budget, looking at the size of our room. Wish the price was lower.
The location of the hotel was walkable to major attractions and was located in downtown Toronto. The staff was also very helpful by providing directions and helping other elderly customers. The overall experience was a good one.

CanadaThe bathroom fan was a bit noisy. The room was a bit smaller than expected but probably typical for a Toronto downtown hotel.
The Hotel has an excellent location. The breakfast menu had more options than what we expected. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

SwitzerlandStrange smell in the room, very loud air conditioning, which was however switched off by the staff immediately (thanks!). The WiFi speed was extremely slow, sometimes no connection could be established. The breakfast concept does not match the pricing of the hotel. As everything is in one-way plastics or cardboard (compostable), a lot of waste is generated - the "think green" philosophy (signs in the breakfast room) does not match with reality, as everything ends in the same bin (people are not using the waste/recycling bins correctly...).
Good location only 15 minutes walking distance from Union station. The staff in the whole hotel (including breakfast, cleaning, ...) was extremely friendly. Our room on the top floor (16) had a great view on the city of Toronto. The surrounding area with St. James park, St. Lawrence Market and some nice restaurants is nice. The room was spacious and clean, and equipped with everything.

ItalyExpensive for what it is, being a somewhat old Holiday Inn, but no doubt trading on its quite central location. Self service breakfast offers a wide range of items, but can become a bit of a scrum if you go during peak times. Rather basic food, with single use plates and cutlery - not a 'fine breakfasting experience'.
Good location for visiting Toronto, close to the St Lawrence Market and the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff. Arguably a reasonable compromise between cost and location, considering Toronto hotel prices.

AustraliaThe air conditioning unit was very noisy and woke us up. The toilet seat was broken. I picked this hotel because it had self laundry facilities, but there was no laundry soap in the machine and no notification advising it was out. Wasted $3 on powder. $4 was wasted on trying to get the washer to work..
The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was ok. The breakfast was really good. Very centrally located.
