Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNothing really.
Friendly, helpful staff. Trappers tents are comfortable, large and warm. Sites are really spacious and spread far apart. We brought a memory foam topper from home for our bed, it made our bed very comfortable. The heaters in the Trappers tents work great and kept us really warm during some very cold nights.

CanadaThe cost for renting bedding, cooking materials etc... seemed high. We flew in from Ontario for a road trip through the Rockies so we didn't have anything with us. We only rented bedding. Each time we asked if the camp had (whatever) to borrow we were met with "For an additional charge".
We enjoyed having a less expensive option for accommodation that was in nature and close to places we wished to explore while still having somewhat comfortable beds and access to washroom facilities.

United StatesQuite overpriced. Staff a little grumpy. If you don’t bring your own bedding, it’s $35 extra for a basic family package of sleeping bags, sheets and pillows.
Fun enjoying the outdoors in a tipi! Didn’t expect a lot of amenities so wasn’t disappointed. It’s basically camping for lot of $$.

CanadaThe main office and store were very helpful with everything and they carried the basic extra stuff if needed.
Our tent was at a great location. Beautiful tent clean, picnic table. Enough room to park cars. The heater worked, great in the tent. We would turn it on a bit at night.

CanadaThe heater, was not a proper choice for the size of the tent.
It was a Teepee in a nice forest. We really liked the location. Everting was nice about the teepee tent except the heater and the door. The door was not closing properly and letting the cold air in and the kerosene heater was barely heating itself and has disturbing smell.

PortugalCampsite roads are very rough, lots of potholes. Unfortunately there is sometimes noise from loud cars due to the proximity to the highway.
Very fun little campsite. Bathrooms are clean with warm water. Staff is super friendly. Family tent is spacious and beds and duvet (extra fee) are super cozy.

CanadaPit toilet closest to site 17 appeared to have not been cleaned during our entire stay, despite staff saying they check pit toilets twice a day. No toilet paper by the end of our first night and it still wasn't replaced by our 3rd day there. Dirt and debris accumulated on the floor and the dirty toilet paper was never cleaned up. Not to mention the solar powered light in this pit toilet did not work. Without a light, you are going to the bathroom in the pitch dark.
We were in the glamping tent. Seriously cozy queen bed and linens. Nice picnic table in good repair. Raked and level camp ground site. Good privacy. Showers and flush toilet available.

CanadaHowever, on that price should be the bedding is included, and it's kinda expensive because we still need to rent the bedding. Also, they need to check some of the heaters because when we operate ours the gas was too strong and we couldn't sleep at night.
We like the place location and the trappers are so cute.

United KingdomThere is only one shower and flush toilet block which was not very clean and always very busy. No sink for washing dishes. The roads have some very bad potholes.
We visited the Nordic spa so the location was perfect, just a five minute drive. The staff were friendly and helpful. The tipi was spacious and clean and had good instructions on how to use the propane heater. We kept the heater on low all night and it did not run out. Free firewood was provided.
