Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The roofterrace was not yet open although the temperature exceeded 20° and it was already end of April.
The location in the middle of the touristic center. You could not hear the noise from the street in the hotelroom.

The shower never stayed hot. We would get hot water for 5mins then it went cold.
This hotel was gorgeous! We loved the rooftop bar area and the breakfast was very good.

The room TV was a bit outdated and did not support Miracast and Screen Share features so we couldn't link it to the phone and watch Netflix when it was too cold outside. The windows are quite low and wide, need to be careful with curious children! The hotel restaurant at the 10th floor was good and the staff were very kind but it was a bit too pricey for us.
The hotel staff speak english very well, the hotel is in a great location in the heart of the Grand Via and we had everything we need in a walking distance from the hotel. The pool looked good but unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy it but the place still offers a great view on Madrid from above on the 10th floor. The rooms were good enough for 2 people and the WiFi worked great. There are 3 elevators so you don't have to wait long when going up or down the floors. Checkout and checkin process was very fast and efficient and they had the room ready for us sooner than expected. Cheers for the lovely hotel staff always willing to help and assist with matters.

there could be noise outside the window, but I don’t consider it a minus since it’s in the very center and the windows had good sound absorption
Definitely worth a visit! The hotel is located in the very center of Madrid, we were greeted by friendly staff, the hotel itself is very beautiful and clean. The room was gorgeous and with a beautiful view, I would also like to mention the excellent bathroom and comfortable bed with a large TV. The hotel service is thought out to the smallest detail such as shampoos, combs, delivery to the room and room cleaning when required. The breakfast is excellent, there is a choice, everything was fresh and tasty. We will definitely visit the hotel again 🫶

Not hotels fault, but pool wasn't open as out of season, and sky bar opens Weds -Sun, and we were there Mon to Weds, so disappointed not to use those great facilities
the location was fabulous for all transport links, but walked mainly, very clean rooms and friendly staff, very helpful when needed.. Hotel noise was quiet so slept well

The service from the staff at the bar in the rooftop was really terrible.
The location alone is worth it already, right in the heart of Gran Via with direct access to public transportation, stores, the Lope de Vega Theatre. The rooftop offers a great view.
