Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The door slamming at 7 am by the cleaning staff was causing a lot of noise, and it was quite disruptive.

Sadly outlook from single room was an unattractive brick wall which I didn’t expect but otherwise was absolutely fine. Hot breakfast could have been hotter maybe the addition of a microwave for guests to use would remedy this
Staff were very pleasant and Extremely helpful to me inc help with luggage as my mobility isn’t good. Breakfast has a nice selection and the room itself was very pleasant.

Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Clean, spacious room with all amenities. Terrific location for all major sites, yet not touristy. Hotel very comfortable and made a solo traveler feel at home. Nice cocktail hour and ample breakfast buffet.

Bar only open limit time at weekend. But….unlimited tea/coffee/water and there’s so a shop three doors down.

The bathroom is quite small but the shower water pressure and cleanliness is great!
My friend and I stayed in Barcelona for 10 days. Hotel Granvia made our trip 100% better. The location was superb we walked to all tourist places on foot and the neighborhood had hip cafes and restaurants to try out. The air conditioning and room condition was perfect after a hot day under the sun. Thanks to the great staff especially Andres, they made our trip extra special. Also, the hotel smells great :) especially in the entrance. It felt like home during our long stay in Barcelona. The breakfast was great too but there are really great brunch places nearby.

Our room was small and had a very small window facing a small space between walls of the building. felt somewhat clastrophobic. I assume having a different room woudl have made the stay much more pleasant.

Modern, CLEAN, fragrant and nicely decorated boutique hotel in a busy tourist area just a few minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and taxis are plentiful. The front desk is manned 24/7. The neighborhood is lively and feels safe to walk, even late at night and despite the occasional homeless person / panhandler. Short walks to La Rambla, Gothic Quarter, Gaudi houses and luxury shopping along Passeig de Gràcia. Longer walks to Sagrada Familia, Monument a Colom and Arc de Triomf. BONUS: There is a spacious and comfortable lounge on the first floor connected to the breakfast area and an outdoor sitting space - really nice to relax - open 24/7 with a fabulous espresso maker and water.

The reception staff was very helpful and accommodating. As a solo traveler, I felt welcome and well taken care of. Great bed - very comfy, yet not too soft. The hotel was extremely well situated for touring the major sites and very well maintained. A very nice breakfast buffet was provided at an extra charge.

My room was very small but well designed with plenty of closet space and hooks/shelving.
Good location, quiet and very comfortable with a wonderful outdoor patio and dining area. Front desk staff were so welcoming and kind, especially Lady, who gave me some good recommendations on restaurants. Highly recommend if you are traveling solo.

The location is great and there is such a nice ambiance, whether you want to sit in the lounge, eat, or have drinks outside. The room was clean and so quiet considering it's on such a busy street! It's not easy finding rooms for families in the city without having to book two and this was such a great find. The staff are incredibly friendly as well!

Breakfast was excellent as was the location of the hotel. The room was lovely and the hotel was quaint,. I enjoyed myself. Lady at the front desk was wonderful,. Would definitely stay here again This hotel is near a shopping area. There are great places to eat within walking distance.

The room´s door was not soundproof and there was some noise day or night. The common areas (thankfully not the room) had an unpleasant strong perfume smell from some cleaning product
