Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandHaving to ‘buzz’ to get in the front door. I could also hear other guests buzzing in from my room
I booked late for my stay during the Fallas festival and was glad of such central availability, however the room I had did not have a window- but this was reflected in the cost. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the hostal is directly across from the Market

UkraineThe bed was not a bed, but a squeaky sofa. To get inside it was needed to call every time, the answer was fast, but... Still, there is no feel of freedom. The room was not spacious or with modern decor, but concerning the price and location it's value of money
It's indeed a central location, our room is directly opposite to the Central market, so it's easy to reach the city centre. We spent a lot of time walking and exploring as we were on a city trip, not a beach trip.

United StatesAs others said: thin walls, noisy, buzz-in system wakes up many. It is next to a bank and across from 'el mercat' and the ground floor looks abandoned. Yes it was disclosed there is no elevator, no ac (there is tiny fan/heater) and it helps that it is adults only (with vigilant staff against visitors). If you don't like old blankets/furniture from the 80s you should consider paying more for something else. If you can live with the shortcomings, this is a fair option to consider.
Excellent location, low price, you get what you pay for

NetherlandsWould be nice to have a key to the building’s door, because the way of entering via using the intercom is annoying. During the evening/night I heard every guest ringing to enter the building as the sound is quite loud.
Absolutely perfect location. The standard & equipment are basic, but precisely in line with what’s offered on Booking and within a very good price range. You see what you’ll get and for me it was more than enough during my short city break in Valencia. Moreover, my room was very clean. The host is a nice and helpful person.

SwitzerlandMake note that you are ONLY paying for a Room with WC facilities. There are NO drink options at all, on the premises (coffee, tea, water) No kettle, fridge, cups, glasses, cutlery even in the communal lounge area . You are going to have to take a walk to the nearest bakery/café and buy there, not a bad experience by any means, but forget that coffee in bed before you go out!! I bought a bottled beer and there was nothing to open it with. I eventually got help from the Owners wife by waving at the reception camera frantically (just picture it!) - She called her husband who luckily arrived with a bottle opener, he was very much "under the influence", which made me feel uneasy at the time. Entry to the accommodation is limited to being buzzed in 24/7. I found this really annoying. The bedding although clean was really old and dated. The blanket had little balls all over it, which tends to make me think it is not clean and fresh. The listing said it had a bath, which it did but- I could barely sit in it. It is the size of a standard shower floor with walls. Very interesting indeed, if you like your knees under your chin. It was unclear if I could flush my toilet paper into the loo or I needed to add it to the open waste basket, No Aircon as advertised, so you have to open the window for air and then try to sleep with the city noises into the early hours.
the location was great and the bed was comfortable. The Room was large enough with on suite bathroom and dryer. The stay was ok for the 2 nights I spent there, longer would have had me looking elsewhere. Right opposite the market with clear views from first floor. Great pillows but only one on each bed. I booked in a hurry when I got stranded during the floods- for the emergency/urgency it was ok, but would I stay again... nahhhh! Lovely big windows and a door that opened wide and I still had privacy from the street.

Just a 9 minute walk from the metro station. Located in the historic centre directly opposite the Central Market and really close to many sights. An easy walk to many sights and beautiful architecture.
