Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Really sweet place to stay at, a bit further away from downtown so takes quite a while to get to and from the city, but the smalltown atmosphere more than makes up for it.

The forest you have to go through to get to the stay is a bit sketchy.

At the end of the day you are camping, I guess the cabins would be different but be prepared for some of the usual camping expectations - we took our own bedding / duvets and certainly needed them, as nighttime temperatures were low. As others have written, our tent (in fact I think all the pre-erected tents) was right next to a weir on the Seine - my wife and family didn’t mid the continuous background roar of the water (like having a fan running in your bedroom), I wished I’d taken earplugs. But these are minor things, and we’d visit again and recommend to others.
The location was good - easy to get to when driving from the UK as on the north side of Paris (we drove from the Dieppe ferry, just over 2 hours). In the end we didn’t use the bus shuttle (not free, €2.50 each way to Port Maillot where you can get the Metro straight into Paris), we just got an Uber which was around €15-20 into Etoile or Trocadéro. Very convenient. Everything was well kept, we stayed in a pre-erected tent which was fine - ours had a shower / toilet and kitchen / dining area inside, camp beds with mattresses were comfortable.

Cabin allotment: A little too close to the next cabins. Road noise was more than I expected. Inside the cabin: There was no soap in our cabin. There is a drip coffee machine, but there was no coffee or filter for it, and there was no kettle to boil water. Outside: If you are allergic to pollen, be careful, it is raining pollen. Birds will probably do their thing on top of your car. It becomes messy all that pollen and poo if you don't clean daily. I was expecting to be able to access to the river but there is a fence between the site and the river shore.
It was an interesting experience without risking being outdoors too much compared to a tent. There is an EV charging point inside the camping site, close to the reception. Not a fast one, but it did the job. Not much people noise or music etc.

Our tent was located right next to a wier on the river so extremely noisey and the beds were not made on arrival and having arrived late into the evening was soemthing we could have done without.
Location relative to Paris was great, staff were friendly & helpful. Site was family friendly and clean. Facilities were good

Tricky to get to and I wish there were basic spices like salt and pepper.
Such a fun place! Super comfortable, even thought the rooms are very small. We ended up cooking dinner there one night and it was nice to have all the supplies there- though I wish there was salt and pepper at least. Also, it’s a little harder to get to than i thought from looking at them map, just as an heads up. Overall we loved it!
