Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyHad to wait minutes for the elevator (very slow) then I decided to go by the stairs :D .. anyway it was worth to do, stairs are an Art Gallery!
Great position very close to public transportation and the wonderful Jardin du Luxembourg. I had just a night spent in Paris so it has been perfect for my purpose. Great staff very kind, nice room clean and quiet. The stairs are very nice, like an art gallery:worth to use them instead the elevator

TurkeyThere was no safe box in the room, no kettle and no sleepers. It was also a continuous water dripping sound from the heating or the air co. I did not bother to inform the front desk at the middle of the night. I was on 6th floor and room was overlooking the street and it was a very lovely quiet street. Since there was no safe box, Steven was kind to storage my laptop and belongings in the safe box at their office.
It was well located and easily accessible to public transportation and a short walk to main highlights of the city.

GermanyThe location is very nice and feels super safe to travel alone as a woman. The doors were not soundproofed which is one of the few things I would improve. I always travel with air plugs, so it did not bother me too much. It could also be a bit cleaner in the stairway. All in all this is just a really regular paris hotel for the price category that it is in.

ArmeniaGreat location - just 5 minutes walk from Luxemburg station, so you can get there by train RER directly from Charles-de-Gaul airport. Easy to get to the most of sightseeings. Room is pretty small, but clean and comfy. Great cafe on the first floor with a decent coffee, which is not easy to find in Paris.

United States of AmericaBathroom was clean but a little bit small but for 3 people it worked out just fine.
Clean facility and comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the café in the hotel. The workers in the Café were always friendly and made great coffee. We had Croissants there most of the time but ordered breakfast once, and it was good. Great value for a hotel in Paris, especially in the Latin Quarter. Location was also good; not very far from the Metro station and restaurants. Great overall value. We booked on Booking.com.

United States of AmericaI was surprised by the austere rooms. White walls, no shelves or drawers for clothes. No tea kettle. No tissues. Considering the price, it could have offered minimal comforts.
Location is excellent.

EgyptFor a solo traveler the room size (though a bit small) was not an issue at all. However it might be a bit challenging for people who appreciate a wider space to move.
I checked in my bag at the hotel as I arrived earlier than my check-in time. The staff was v helpful and friendly. Always greeting the guests with a smile and happy to provide help when needed. The room was super clean and tidy. Had everything I needed with some nice touches like a map for the surrounding area with suggestiins for things to do. The facility is well maintained and has all the essentials like elevator, hot water, clean towels, shampoo (no conditioner), body wash, hair dryer, heating (during cold seasons), TV in the room where you can connect your USB drive to plus some local French channels and a coffee shop on the ground floor. One of the best parts about French Theory is its location. In the 5th arrondissement which is one of my favorite areas in Paris. It is close to bus stations, metro, shopping outlets, cafes and restaurants. A walk down Boulevard St. Getmain is enough to make my day. I would choose French Theory again when I come to visit Paris. It was definitely a plus to my trip.

United KingdomThe AC made noise even when turned off. It was white noise so I managed to fall asleep with earplugs in but could be an issue if you're a very light sleeper. Quiet in the evening overall though
Great reception, friendly staff. Breakfast is similar price to brunch places near the hotel so it's good value if you want to save time eating there before heading off to check out the city. Bed and bathroom were clean and met basic needs for a good stay.
