Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

I've stayed several times at the Neptune and this was the frst time I was aware of other guests being noisy. I suspect this was because it is Augsut and the hotel is noticeably more busy.
Friednly welcome. Simply decorated but clean and comfortable room. Very good location. Close to Place D'Italie Metro ( lines 5,6 and 7) adn the lively Butte Au Cailles quartier with many bars and restaurants.

Location is great and has fantastic connectivity to different parts of Paris via multiple metro lines. The neighborhood is nice and has multiple eateries and bakeries (with some very good ones). The staff were also very nice and cooperative.

The hotel does not have an elevator and the floors are high. There is no safe or kettle in the room.
The location is great: all types of transport, cafes and a shopping center are nearby. The hotel is very nice and clean for a two-star hotel, although the rooms are small. We didn't have breakfast, because there are many points nearby. Cleaning every day

The showers in my room were not very convenient and I had to hold it with my hands; there is no lift so it would be difficult if you have heavy luggages.
Good location, very close to the metro/bus stations; staff were nice; convenient neighborhood with restaurants and malls.

Pigeons. I was on third floor and pigeons were very active on roof and right outside our room. Wake up call from pigeons at 6am all three mornings No elevator. Just request 1st floor. Shower only had hand held sprayer, no big deal though.
Location was good right next to subway with three lines. Plenty of cafes and eateries in neighborhood of locals. Traveled with three people and everyone had their own bed.

The room was absolutely freezing without any heater available. They intentionally give you more covers knowing you will need it. This isn't too bad, as it is manageable.
Great price, Great location, Great staff, Great restaurants nearby, Great modes of transportation nearby. Highly recommended place for extreme simplicity.

Breakfast is basic.
A small, well-run hotel at a good location close to Place d'Italie metro. (Lines 5, 6, and 7 - easy access to Gare du Nord and Montparnasse) .Friendly staff. Simple but comfortable rooms. Very good value

The breakfast lacks a little bit of diversity but it's good and similar to local standards and other places.
Good hotel, extremely nice staff and a good value for Paris and a great location in the 13th. The room are small but cozy, comfortable and clean.

The room was a little cold. The furnishings could be updated, but everything was clean, except for a few carpet stains.
The location was great, the staff was very nice. There was hot water, the bed was comfortable. The wifi worked.
