The pool was a bit cold and the integrated spa-bath was tepid. The reception staff didn't tell us about a significant road closure, which meant that we struggled to get back onto the campus after an evening visiting family locally.

We had to request additional towels as only 1 hand towel and bath towel, 2 of us were staying in the room. Also there was no hair dryer.

Staff are always really helpful. The bar staff reserved a table for us to have champagne to celebrate our sons 21st birthday. The table was set up lovely.

Pretty good value if you use the gym and sauna, etc. Exceptionally comfy bed in a clean and cheerful hotel. Good breakfast buffet.

I know there are water dispensers in the corridor, but really a four star hotel should provide at least one bottle of still water in the room. Found it slightly odd to go upstairs to where our rooms were located on foot with no option of a lift, especially when travelling with a mixed age group. Somebody needs to learn how to use the coffee machine at the bar!

Perfectly situated on Loughborough University campus for visiting students, rooms very well appointed and comfortable, staff, always friendly, and very pleasant. Excellent breakfast and nice pool facilities

On this occasion with the somewhat mild weather for October the use of the winter thickness duvet made sleeping very difficult.

The bed was not comfortable, it was a firm mattress, but I struggled. The service in the restaurant was very slow. All the staff were very helpful and the food was good, but as there was obviously a conference on and lots of parents like us bringing students up to University, they really needed more staff on.

The room was clean and a good size. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, both of which were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I asked the hotel for quiet room unfortunately they put me next to pump and boilers room which was really noisy and uncomfortable, the ceramic cups and the spoons in the room was not cleaned,

The shower gel & shampoo were of poor quality. We were given only 1 towel but this was rectified quickly. No loo brush in the bathroom.

Convenient location, very comfortable beds, good size room. Rooms were made up well. Staff were helpful & had made the twin beds into a double as requested. The restaurant & bar had an adequate selection of food that was delicious. The spa area was small but attractive and we enjoyed using the pool & jacuzzi

Limited evening menu in restaurant - there was an issue and we were not able to have what we had wanted due to the limited choice - we have particular dietary requirements, so had planned in advance and were disappointed with the change when we got there. The room felt really cold. I tried to turn the heating on for a short time, but it didn't seem to work and for the time we were there, I didn't bother saying anything. Whilst we did sleep well, the beds were the hardest we have come across and this may not suit everyone.

Great location for the university with car park. Lovely warm pool and spa facilities great. The lady working there was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent too - super choice.
