Lobby was smelly, bath plug was broken so could only shower. Bit noisy on the front if facing grey street.

My room felt very small and nothing more than a hotel room at half the price. I know there are really nice rooms in the hotel, but mine did not seem any better than other rooms I've paid 70-100 a night for

Beds were soft. It is in an old building which meant that sound proofing was not very good. We could every step taken across the floor of the room above us.

Disregard for data protection- insisted on an email address at check-in because ‘it’s policy’. No PIN or signature taken for payment, dealt with as an online payment. Grumpy reception staff.

Location is excellent. Room comfortable although quite noisy as it faced GreySt and Mosley St. Breakfast good though rather expensive and in a windowless basement.

The lift is very small. Can just fit 2 people with suitcase. Access for disabled may be an issue as stairs to lift and also stairs coming of landing to the room where I was at.

The beds are comfortable and kept clean. Bathroom good size. Good size of TV. Staff are friendly. Location in city centre. Close to station and town.

Slight musty smell in the bathroom

Breakfast was great! Lovely choice of cooked options. Between the 4 of us we had a Full English, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale and Eggs Florentine - all were cooked to perfection! Plus great choice of pastries and cold meats and fruit on the buffet. Really comfy beds. Fantastic location between the city centre and The Quayside

A light for the shelf where the kettle and drinks are located, or to be able to pull out the shelf. As it was quite dark and not much room to pour the kettle.

The room was excellent comfortable, clean and roomy. Plenty of storage space. Great to have complimentary water and hot drinks. Even though it is in the heart of the city the room was quiet. Will definitely go again.

The wi-fi wasn’t working at all during our stay and the tap was very noisy when switched on. The ceiling in the bathroom was in need of some attention.

No socket near the bed, even though room details on the booking said there was. So unable to charge phone near bed and use for alarm, nearest socket over other side if room.

I was asked whether I'd prefer a twin or king-size bed set-up, I requested king-size and it was twin. Not a major problem as I was on my own, but why give the option if not going to follow up on it?

The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Only really one plug socket near the bed and it was halfway down the bed which was disappointing. Bed was a little small but it was a generic double bed so couldn't complain too much. No sanitary bags or shower caps - something I may just come to expect at this rate in age but they are massively convenient to have.

The reception team were amazing, super personable and incredibly friendly. Really made the first impression of the hotel a 5-star one. Didn't catch their names but every interaction with them was brilliant. The downstairs bar is very nice for a drink and reasonably priced, decent discount on drinks for guests too which is a bonus. Rooms were a good size with little to no space wasted which is great. Location was absolutely perfect for us, nice food spots moments away and not having to trek right up the hill after going to the quayside is a big plus.
