There was no soap placed in the room. We had to ask for it at reception. Considering covid it should be a given.

Breakfast was good, the lady serving it and cooking it was great. Nice to have a real ale on the bar.

Water stopped halfway through my husband's shower and we were told it was an old building and too many people were trying to have showers! Also the curtains fell off the rails when pulled back too much.

My room (9) was far too hot, and this made it very difficult to sleep. There was no fresh air circulating. Also at night the hall light was too sensitive to movement from INSIDE the room.

Due to its location it did get a bit noisy which didn't bother us after a long motorcycle ride and the plumbing was it bit creaky due to the age of the building. Not a problem for me but it was a bit loud. A bit of noise should be expected because it has a few bars.

Friend and myself were on a motorcycle trip so only needed an overnight stay. Pleasantly surprised. I had a nicely decorated spacious room with an en- suite which had a nice shower . We dined in the restaurant/ sports bar in the evening and had a enjoyable meal which was reasonably priced with a delicious desert. The two waitresses serving in the evening couldn't have been nicer, helpful and smiling. At breakfast the staff again were really pleasant. The hotel was right in the middle of town and there was music on in the park. All in all a great stay. We loved it.

Stairs were very steep and no lift to bedrooms. No shower gel or soap.

Ideal place for a three night stay. Conveniently located, good breakfast and friendly staff. Basic amenities, tea, coffee and kettle, towels, tv and very small en suite shower and toilet. Minimal traffic noise.

The small room, even with the window open was far too hot! We asked for an air Drier, no they didn't. It was so unbearable we had to go to the shop to buy an Air Drier. O0

Room above exit door from pub , screaming and foul language from women for a good 20 minutes after closing. Bed squeaked when turning over.

The bed was not very comfortable. The shower/toilet was very small. Lacked toiletries. Had to ask for soap and toilet paper.

All the staff were great. The breakfast was lovely. Plenty of it and nice and hot.
