Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI was rather disturbed by the actions of the woman at the restaurant. My first impression of her was not disappointing. She did not welcome me, she started to address the people behind me as if I was invincible and when ready, asked what I needed instead as if I did not belong there. After I ate, customers were standing behind me, she was busy making drinks but she left it and quickly came to the checkout area telling the guy, whom I had told to charge my room, and to the hearing of everyone there; "NO!! I told you that he must pay now! she turned to me and said 'Sir, I need your credit card'" I gently told them again to charge my room and went to the front desk to complain that I was embarrassingly being forced to pay. The front desk fellow checked the computer and followed me downstairs, told them not to collect money from me, that I prepaid, and that I was a guest there. He apologized to me and I left. All through my stay she was not as nice either. There was another night I came to eat at 20 minutes to dinner closing, and she refused to sit me and claimed that the kitchen was closed, whereas she sat the couple that came after me, and I was standing there while she wasted time caring for them. She called the desk and was told to find me something to eat and she did without a tray and my spoons were exposed as well.
I liked the room, but my mattress needs changing, All the reception staff, three guys and the lady were exceptional. The guy at the restaurant (manager, cooks, bartends, and an amazing host, perhaps from the Islands), Despite the River Thames, the environment was superb. The older fellow and perhaps, the housekeeping supervisor was very helpful as well.

United KingdomBreakfast was a shambles, had to ask for everything we wanted as only one member of staff and had to wait for each individual cooked item as everything had run out. The food wasn't replenished quick enough and only 1 item at a time therefore by the time the other items had been put out other food was cold. However on checking out was refunded to account for poor breakfast
Hotel room very clean and lovely river view. Meal in the evening was lovely, nice and hot and very nice

United KingdomNo light available near the mirror in the bedroom. Bathroom or shower didn't have anywhere to put toiletries.
Room was a little small, but as our stay was only a couple of nights, the space was fine. Breakfast very good, both cooked and cold options available. Location suited us very well, handy for Windsor and has a river outlook from the dining room.

United KingdomOur first room had a broken window handle meaning the window wouldn’t shut, staff were great in moving us to an alternative room as we had our 1 year old with us so couldn’t have a cold breeze running through the room. Second room had a bath rather than just a shower which worked better for us but the water was just about hot enough for our son (not hot enough for a nice long soak for adults) The windows in this room didn’t open at all which we assumed was because of them being sash windows opening onto a main road.
Brilliant deal for half board, food was delicious! Staff were super helpful dealing with any issues and helping us with high chairs etc at meal times. The location was perfect for visiting Windsor & Legoland. Bed was very comfortable. We would definitely consider staying again if we were in the area .

United KingdomThe speaker from the restaurant was up against the ceiling which meant to music would would go through, during the afternoon the music was loud and would disturb us... We had to wait 45 minutes for our dinner after we ordered it, but was told that the chef was new.. the one thing that did annoy me is most hotels do an opt out system, where they don't change change the towels, which I totally agree too but this Hotel does a opt in system where they just don't enter your room at all! So no bed was made and tea coffee etc wasn't replenished... I did speak to the gentleman about it all, he said he was going to check the noise immediately, but as for bed making etc, he informed me that that don't enter bedrooms without permission, we were not told this at check in! Which is disappointing, overall a good stay.
The breakfast was very nice, could have been a bit hotter, plenty there though. We had the executive room, beautiful room, plenty of space, lovely views of the Thames. It was my Husbands 50th and they gave us a complimentary sparkling winex

IrelandWe had to ask 3 times for clean towels. We also rang reception 3 times one evening looking for the towels after asking for them that morning, there was no answer at reception. The bulb in the light on one side of the bed was also blown. Surely these things are checked before the room is assigned to guests
Great location, we were visiting family who lived nearby. Breakfast was also good.

United KingdomOnly problem we had was at dinner booked and paid for two rooms room one 2 adults room 2 was 1 adult 2 children one 7yrs old and one 14 when it came to ordering dinner we were told that only one child was included in the half board and we would have to pay for the older child as said child was up to 12yrs but there wasn't a child's menu for the younger child. If this was the case then when booking it shouldn't allow a child's age over 12 but it didn't and allowed me to book a 14yr child was very disappointed and I could nowhere find in the hotels terms and conditions this clause either. I have spoken to booking. Com and also emailed the hotel but 3 weeks later still no reply from either hence disappointed in correspondence.
Hotel and staff were great and in good location room was also great with lovely views over Thames food was very good too

United KingdomAbility to control temps but the towel rack in the bathroom was quite warm so good for towels.
Check is is a strict not before 3pm. So we parked, went for a lovely riverside walk and returned at 3.30pm. Our room was not ready so we were upgraded to a balcony room in the Lodge overlooking the Thames. First floor, comfortable space with nice shower room - good shower; good quality linen; large bed. Wardrobe held 2 dressing gowns, slippers, ironing board, hairdryer and usual tea/coffee, TV and air conditioning system. Couldn't get any warm air so turned it off. Mentioned it at check-out and they said 'awaiting instructions'. Anyway, believe I've read about issue with heating months ago. Next morning went over for breakfast. Very good selection but glad we arrived circa 9am and the later guests were standing plates in hand, awaiting the replenishment of the help yourself hot food section. Staff were very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.
