Choice at dinner was not very good

We dined in the restaurant that evening and had breakfasts - although both were ok, for the prices paid they felt underwhelming and basic - lacked flavour - not much choice for dinner

The lighting in the room was poor. In addition to the wall lights there should be bedside lights.

I appreciate you’re keeping the building and its contents historic, but some modern touches in the rooms wouldn’t spoil the hotel

The dining room area needed a little decorating in places.

We booked this hotel as it is 'art deco' which indeed it is throughout the building. It also had extra interest being adjacent to a small airfield with occasional flights from a WWII Spitfire and Mustang based there. Friendly staff and a comfortable room.

We loved our stay here , we regularly visit hotels for a getaway, the atmosphere in the hotel was lovely relaxed and friendly, The bar was busy when we got back from our evening out but felt welcoming. One of the best bits for me was that breakfast was served up until 10 am. It meant we got a lay in instead of having to get up and rush around. We came down at 9.40am and they filled the empty mushroom and egg trays. The coffee was really nice , lovely staff, and check out at 11am. we didn't feel rushed at all. We will definitely return

Property is a bit ‘tired’. Rooms require refurb. Sockets on one side of room only; tiny tv on side wall only, not convenient to charge phones, cracked sink, very creaky floor.

Handy for the airfield. Art deco themed! Great breakfast. Nice staff. Plenty of parking. Nice outside area. Large bedrooms.

My arrival in restaurant was ok, but waiting for my drinks to arrive took a long time. Due to lack of staff. I ordered a starter of Prawns & a chilli sauce. After quite a wait a plate arrived of prawns with a tartare sauce. Trying to attract a member of staff took a while. Waitress apologised & went to the kitchen. On returning she said “ there is no chilli sauce, they’ve run out & not told us!!!” Although only a minor niggle, waiting staff should be made aware.

Location was ideal for me to visit a friend in local area . The lady on reception was extremely nice & friendly with a good attitude.

My room backed onto the main round going round Sywell, which was a bit loud at times but not something that the hotel could have done anything about.

We used it as a base for Silverstone British GP, staff were great restaurant and bar good service. Hotel had organised an earlier start for breakfast on the Sunday, enabling those going to grand prix to have breakfast before heading to GP. Will definitely book again for next year. Hotel had a nice feeling as formerly art deco main building for aerodrome.

The food for breakfast was below average. Stale granola, cold rubbery eggs, etc.

Some breakfast items were overcooked the toaster provided "light" or "burnt bread My preference would be fresh coffee - the flasks offered med hot The soft furnishing were very low - I have difficulty sitting and standing
