Second time staying at The Westbourne and I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Lovely, warm and welcoming atmosphere, with superb service from start to finish. Fantastic location for Bowness and Windermere too.

Would of like choice of fruit & yogurt for breakfast as seen in previous photos Also wasn’t offered any more toast other than one slice, didn’t want to ask & come across cheeky

Nothing to write negative - it was a great stay.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Location nice and quiet just outside of town centre. Very good breakfast, conveniently arranged on arrival. I notice previous reviews have mainly had negative comments only about wifi in the cottage. I noticed that they have a separate wifi for the cottage now so this looks to have been addressed. Maybe a guest who stayed in the cottage recently can comment on this.

There wasn't really anything in particular that I would say which spoilt my stay.

The room was comfortable, with plenty of space, although I was a single person in a double room. I am sure it would be sufficient for a couple. The breakfast was really lovely. The staff were exceptional and friendly. I felt very comfortable there.

What a lovely break we had at the Westbourne. Friendly ,helpful from arrival to check out . The room although on the small side was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed for the duration of the stay. The breakfasts were excellent. Would definitely recommend as the b & b is in the perfect location

The only downside was the room was a bit small, with not much cupboard space......nothing we couldn't manage though

Great location away from the tourist haunts but within five minutes walk of the lakeshore. Staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Shower was adequate but a bit small.

The owners were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with en-suite and television. The location was quiet and just a small walk (3 mins) to Bowness-on-Windermere centre. Breakfast offered a full range of the usual cooked food and also serials, muesli and toast. Overall, great value for money.

Everything was excellent

We stayed in the cottage , which was great - bedroom downstairs, lounge area upstairs - very clean and cosy . Quiet location but only a short walk to the town and Lake Windermere Great breakfast and hospitality

The only slight issue was the parking but it was solved very quickly.

Brilliant location, greeting on arrival for check in was lovely, the lad we spoke to was really nice and helped us with a slight parking issue. Stayed in the cottage, much bigger than anticipated and loved how cosy it felt.

WiFi passwords in the rooms would ideal; as we stayed in the furthest room away, but not the biggest issue!

Lovely stay, very accommodating and organised as reception closes at 6pm and they made it so easy to access the property, very helpful!

As with all electric showers, the water flow rate was poor for washing long hair. Wi-Fi was difficult to connect up to.

Bedding and towels were good quality. Breakfast was very enjoyable and the host was very pleasant. Location was close to town centre with free parking.
