Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI loved the location, the staff and the swimming pool! The hotel is a quiet, secluded haven, just one street away from the Metro, the Circus Maximus and 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. Every member of staff was polite, cheerful and helpful. The pool was lovely, particularly after a hot day sightseeing. The buffet breakfast was fresh and tasty, with enough choice for all palettes. The room was clean and comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The aircon wasn't as strong as I'd have liked, but was still a comfortable temperature.

MaltaThe property is located exactly in front of Circo Massimo where many concerts are held. It is also only a few minutes away on foot from the coliseum. Breakfast was good and staff were very courteous.

IrelandThe room (room 11) was very noisy. The door leading to the terrace does not seal therefore all outdoor activity can be clearly heard. Also the room is positions next to the area in which breakfast is served. As a result both the preparation for and the duration of breakfast is extremely loud. A similar scenario occurred where a member of staff was constructing furniture in this area late in the evening, disturbing our sleep.
The design and features of both the room and the building were nice, and the staff were very friendly!

SpainSorry to see single use plastic packaging toiletries in the bathrooms, and even sorrier to see that these were disposed of / cleaned out while only half empty. Room was quite noisy at night including from other guests.
Nice grounds and garden, spacious room, very clean, nice breakfast at a reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly staff. Fantastic location.

United KingdomThe pool wasn’t working and I specifically booked a hotel for us to chill in the afternoon after sightseeing. Our room was on the top floor and there’s only a lift to the first floor. I didn’t like having to call reception to turn on air con. Our room was a loft room that was very warm and limited view. I didn’t expect that for the money I paid.. I thought it was expensive for what it was.
Room was nice

United KingdomA minor point, but the bedroom needs one or two more power sockets in sensible positions, instead of the ones that are on a downward-facing surface right above where your head is on the pillow at night - one of our plugs fell out in the night and just missed my wife's head! There was only one power socket on the desk - that's where I would suggest putting another one.
The hotel feels like an Oasis away from the dusty street. It would have been even nicer had the swimming pool been open (we were there too early in the season for that). The design is interesting/quirky. Well-located close to Circus Maximus metro station, and a ten minute walk to the Colosseum. It is also ten minutes walk to the Baths of Caracalla (which are impressive and very uncrowded). There are at least four or five restaurants within 100-200 metres of the property -these are all fairly lively with plenty of locals eating there. The Aventine hill is a pleasant place for local walks.

AustraliaThe bathroom has a rather inconvenient design for the bathtub, it's too high to comfortably step in. The screens do not prevent the water from staying in the wet zone and you end up with the bathroom flooded every time you shower. The bathroom also lacks hooks or rails for hanging towels. The cleanliness of the bathroom was not the best, especially the bathtub area.
A quiet green oasis in the historic centre of the city. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good value and delicious, and the staff were the highlight of our stay.

United KingdomThere are some design issues with the garden rooms . There is a sliding door that hides the glass shower which I had to pull across the wardrobe area as the lights were on a sensor a came on when we moved. This meant you could see inside the bathroom when someone was using it. There beds only had a blanket and sheet and it wasn’t warm enough but I asked for an extra blanket so that wasn’t a problem.
The breakfast was good and the waiter was very attentive. I’m sure the hotel would be a welcome oasis in the summer months.

GermanyLocation is really good. The yard and garden gave the feeling of a resort, that's true, nice towels and slippers were also a nice sign of how much the hotel cares of it's guests. BUT the night in the room was so uncomfortable that I can barely find the words to describe it. The matrass was literally bent in the middle, probably from so many guests sleeping in it. The matrass should be changed in room 3 immediately, I am sorry for people who are going to sleep there.

AustriaThe location of the hotel is amazing, 1min to bus stops and subway, 10min walk to Colloseo. The area is very calm and safe. The garden is beautiful and it’s very green. There is a swimming pool, so in the summer it would be great to chill in it. Breakfast is okay, the choice is good but quality is 50/50, especially cafe latte ( no way to get it right). Rooms are stylishly made, shower is old already and when you wash too long, the water goes into the main room. Also you can’t close the room from inside ( kinda strange), there is simply no lock and you just trust the system. Overall, it’s clean, nice location, fine breakfast. For several nights it’s perfect to stay.
