Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room was small but adequate. It was handy having a fridge and kettle but the fridge hadn't been cleaned. Some areas of cleanliness could be improved and one socket by the bed didn't work properly.
The location was wonderful, staying in the heart of Trastevere in a beautiful building. The views and ambience of the Piazza amd Trastevere were great. We were able to collect a key early, so we could really make the most of the day. It was a last minute booking so we were really pleased that they could accommodate. We slept really well, the bed was comfortable.

United KingdomThe noise from other rooms was very annoying. Somebody in another room was coughing all day and night and it stopped us getting a good sleep. It was as if they were in our bathroom it was so loud.
The location was great, and the check in was easy. The communication with the host was good.

The room was small but comfortable enough. Good AC and comfortable bed. Good cafe next door that opens very early for breakfast and the waitress at the cafe, Diana was wonderful and very helpful.

United StatesIf you are a light sleeper, this place isn’t for you (which is expected with any place that is in a popular are). The cafe/bar downstairs is very popular and stays open late. The room isn’t soundproof so you can hear most things.
The location was fantastic: close to many great restaurants and walking distance to major touristy sights. The room was comfortable and clean. The host was wonderful.

IsraelThe room was not cleaned even once during the week, only the bed was made. There is a lot of dust on the windows and bedside tables, the floor has not been washed. check-in was unorganized: I had to look for the owners or the administrator. when you're not local, it's strange. No one answered the doorbell. Another thing with the organization: I booked an extra night because my departure flight was changed. In the correspondence before the trip, they seemed to discuss this, but on the day the reservation ended, I first had to explain again that I had ALREADY paid for one more night. but they didn’t forget to tell me about the tax so that I could leave it.
really good location, this area is generally cool to live in Rome. The Vatican is close. We also walked to the center. if you are lazy, then a taxi costs about 7-12 euros from the center or several buses.

CanadaThe communication was terrible. I kept sending messages as to when we would arrive after we left the airport after a 10 hour flight, took the train etc. we arrived exhausted but had no idea how to reach the people to let us in. A bit panicky as language is an issue. Finally found someone a few doors down in their restaurant that came to check us in. They suggested we eat there, we did not.
The location was good.

AustraliaBasic, clean room in Trastevere, Rome. Easy access from the Trastevere train station by tram #3 to accommodation. Easy access to Piazza Venezia by tram #8. For the price this room represents terrific value. Good communication with owners who work in the restaurant next door making checkin easy.

LithuaniaOn weekends it can be noisy outside, but the double-glazed windows and heavy curtains do a good job of isolating the sound, so I had no problems falling asleep.
Excellent location. You can walk to the main attractions, or you can take a tram or bus. Trastevere station is also nearby, from where trains run to Fiumicino Airport. There are many restaurants and cafes in the surrounding area, as well as grocery stores. The room has everything you need - kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator. Francesca is very friendly and helpful. You can agree to leave luggage with early check-in or late check-out.

United StatesThe bed took up most of the room which didn’t bother me should be something anyone booking should be made aware of. The other issue is it is a bit difficult to find, just a sign on the building would have been helpful.
I really liked the location and the affordability. The person managing the location is also very nice.

AzerbaijanLocation is perfect. I love Trastevere, it is very autentic area in Rome, so we always stay in this area. There is very good spageteria just near the hotel with very delicious food. Just one thing - the room was very small, we didn't take it into account and it was a bit uncomforatble for the traveling with big luggage, but actually it is a normal for the old building like this. May be we needed to book a large room. But there are all necessary things inside, even a kettle, so you can make a tea, bathroom was normal.
