Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe bed took up most of the room which didn’t bother me should be something anyone booking should be made aware of. The other issue is it is a bit difficult to find, just a sign on the building would have been helpful.
I really liked the location and the affordability. The person managing the location is also very nice.

AzerbaijanLocation is perfect. I love Trastevere, it is very autentic area in Rome, so we always stay in this area. There is very good spageteria just near the hotel with very delicious food. Just one thing - the room was very small, we didn't take it into account and it was a bit uncomforatble for the traveling with big luggage, but actually it is a normal for the old building like this. May be we needed to book a large room. But there are all necessary things inside, even a kettle, so you can make a tea, bathroom was normal.

ItalyI travelled for work and stayed for 3 nights but I will definitely come back as a tourist with my partner. The staff was really nice and welcoming and the cleanliness of the room exceeded my expectations. The location is super convenient, there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby but I highly recommend to try the restaurant owned by the hotel owner which is called "Ai Spaghettari". I had a superbe dinner at reasonable price.

EstoniaThere was no one on site all the time (no tradition check-in desk), if you want to ask something, need to communicate by e-mail.
Very good location. Many restaurants near. Many bus stops in around 5 min walk. In the same building is a good bakery with great pastries and coffee. Although the streets are noisy, there was not much noise in the room when the window was closed.

BelgiumThe only thing is that there's no real reception desk. You have to go to the restaurant next to the hotel to get someone to give you the key and explain how things work in the room. But the lady (Antonella) was very friendly. By the way, the restaurant in question (Ai Spaghettari) is also good value for money.
The location is great. The room is not very big, but the essentials are there. The bed is confortable and the room is cleaned every day.

Germanyvery noisy from the hallway. we woke up early every morning to people opening their doors and speaking in the hallway, but from outside we heard nothing at all!
the room we received was very big. we had a lot of room gor everything! we stayed 7 days here, every day the lovely personell cleaned up our room and left everything really tidy and cosy! the location was perfect, Rome is a city made for walking and the position of the Locanda was just perfect for everything. underneath there is the traditional „bar“ where everyone goes to have breakfast to. we had delicious pastries and Capuccino down there!

ItalyFrom the bathroom you can hear every breath of the people in the next room, but if you close the door you have perfect privacy from your room.
Exceptional location in the historical neighbourhood of Trastevere, I think one of the best spots in Rome if you want to enjoy fun and nightlife. You can easily move to other parts of Rome with public transportation and also Vatican is not far away. The Locanda is recently renovated so the room is pretty new, not very big but enough to stay comfortable. The staff is very kind and the reservation includes breakfast in the bar downstairs, I ate one of the best croissant of my life (stuffed with a looooot of lovely pistachio cream!!). I highly recommend this hotel for your staying in Rome

Francewhen I arrived at the address, there was no arrows that’ll lead you to the (hotel) just the name. it doesn’t say 1st floor (this way or that way) . i travelled with my 3 yr old so it was a hassle for me finding it.luckily a nice lady asked and told me it was in first floor. then when I arrived, the receptionist weren’t there. long story short,it got handled right away and nicely. I’d definitely stay again. if you are staying there, ask the Le Sicilian cafe beside the entrance door to call the receptionist.
perfect location. everything you need from kids play ground, stall markets, cafes, restaurants, trastevere bridge that’ll lead you to the main attractions. definitely a place for families, if you are looking for a typical italian stay.
